SAM WAS USED TO BEING WOKEN BY BANGING ON THE FRONT DOOR, but not as used to Manon attacking him to wake him up. He laughed, the first thing he saw being a head of blonde hair. "Hi."
"Twenty-eight!" Manon whined, picking her head up as she met his eyes. "Why? Why?"
"I'm officially older again," Sam grinned at her as she punched his arm and rolled away.
"You're a bully."
"In your dreams," he replied, sitting up. "You know, I only went to bed at like three last night."
Manon's eyes widened and she hit him. "Why! Samuel!"
"Because of That Part!" Sam protested, rolling away as she grabbed a pillow. "It's your fault!"
"God, you're hopeless," Manon huffed as she collapsed down. Her head landed on his lap. "I'm tired, too."
"Of course you are," he began to play with her hair.
"Of course I am!"
