Liam carried Marcus back to the village, his mind consumed with worry for Emilia's safety. He took the child to his aunt's hut, ensuring Marcus's safety before turning to leave.
"Marcus, you're going to have to stay with your aunt for a while," Liam explained, trying to reassure him. "Me and the others are going to make plans to find Emilia."
Marcus nodded, his eyes still brimming with tears. Liam hugged him tightly before departing for the elder's cabin, where the others were gathering.
Inside the cabin, the group huddled around the elder, asking questions and seeking guidance. "Do you know anything that can help us find Emilia?" Ava asked, her voice laced with concern.
The elder nodded, her eyes clouded with thought. "The shadow beasts are ancient creatures, bound to the darkness. They can only be defeated by light and fire."
Elijah spoke up, "I can help with that. My earth ability can create a barrier or trap to weaken them, but I'll need someone to provide the fire."
Liam's eyes flashed with determination. "I'll take care of the fire. My flame ability will burn them to ashes."
The group nodded, their faces set with resolve. They would find Emilia, no matter the cost.
"Be careful," the elder warned. "The shadow beasts are not the only danger lurking in the darkness. There are those who control them, who seek to use Emilia's power for their own gain."
The group exchanged grim glances, their hearts heavy with the weight of their mission. They would have to be cautious, strategic, and brave if they were to rescue Emilia and defeat the forces of darkness.

Emilia's eyes fluttered open, her gaze met with darkness. She was lying on a cold, hard floor, her wrists and legs bound by tight restraints. Fear coursed through her veins as she struggled to move, but it was no use. She was trapped.
A faint light flickered to life, illuminating the room. Emilia saw a man standing before her, his face twisted into a sinister grin. He appeared to be around 35 years old, with piercing eyes that seemed to bore into her soul.
"Welcome, Emilia," he said, his voice dripping with malice. "I am the leader of the Order, and I'm afraid you're going to be our guest for a while."
Emilia's heart raced as the man began to pace around her. "You see, Emilia, you have something that belongs to us. Something your mother tried to hide from us."
He stopped pacing and gazed down at Emilia, his grin growing wider. "I'm afraid I'm the one who killed your mother. She was a foolish woman, trying to protect you from us. But now, you're ours."
Emilia's mind reeled in horror as the man's words cut deep. She struggled against her restraints, but they only seemed to tighten. The leader of the Order chuckled, clearly enjoying her distress.
"Don't worry, Emilia. You'll soon learn to obey us. And once you do, you'll become a powerful tool in our arsenal."
Emilia's determination ignited, burning brighter with every passing moment. She would not give in to these monsters. She would escape, and she would make them pay for what they had done.
The leader's grin grew even wider as he leaned in closer to Emilia. "You see, my dear, the fastest way to bring out your true power is through pain and suffering. And I'm afraid I'm going to have to be the one to inflict it upon you."
Emilia's eyes widened in terror as she realized what was about to happen. She struggled against her restraints, but they only seemed to tighten.
"Please, stop!" she begged, her voice shaking with fear. "Don't do this!"
But the leader just chuckled, his eyes glinting with sadistic pleasure. "Oh, Emilia, you're going to learn to love the pain. It's the only way to unlock your true potential."
He straightened up, his expression turning cold and calculating. "I'll send someone in to take care of you each day. They'll make sure you're... motivated to cooperate."
Emilia's mind raced with horror as the leader turned to leave. She was going to be tortured, day after day, until she broke. The thought was unbearable.
"Please, no!" she screamed, her voice echoing off the cold walls of the room. "Don't do this to me!"
But the leader just laughed, his footsteps fading away as he left Emilia to her fate. She was alone, helpless, and at the mercy of the Order.
Emilia's thoughts were consumed by despair as she lay bound and helpless in the dark room. She couldn't shake off the feeling that she might never see Liam again, never feel his warm embrace or gaze into his loving eyes. The thought of being separated from him forever was unbearable.
Her mind also wandered to Marcus, the poor innocent child who had been left alone in the woods. Had they found him? Was he safe? The uncertainty was torture, adding to her anguish.
Tears streamed down her face as she thought of all the possibilities. Had Liam and the others been captured too? Were they suffering the same fate as her? The not knowing was excruciating.
Emilia's heart ached with longing and fear, her spirit crushed by the weight of her situation. She felt so alone, so vulnerable, and so scared. Would anyone ever find her? Would she ever be reunited with Liam and Marcus?
As the darkness closed in around her, Emilia's thoughts grew more despondent. She might never experience the warmth of love again, never feel the comfort of Liam's presence, never see Marcus's bright smile. The thought was too much to bear, and Emilia's body shook with sobs as she succumbed to her despair.
Emilia's sobs slowly subsided as she heard a faint voice whispering from the other side of the wall. "Hey, are you okay? I heard them bring you in. I'm here, I'm right next to you."
The voice was soft and gentle, sounding like a teenage boy. Emilia's heart skipped a beat as she realized she wasn't alone.
"Who are you?" Emilia whispered back, her voice shaking.
"My name is Finn," the boy replied. "I've been here for... I don't know, feels like forever. They've been torturing me too. But I'm part of the clan that hunts down the shadow beasts. That's why they're doing this to me."
Emilia's eyes widened in surprise. "You're part of the clan? But why are they torturing you?"
Finn's voice was laced with pain. "Because I refused to give them information. They want to know our secrets, our weaknesses. But I won't tell them. I'd rather die than betray my clan."
Emilia felt a surge of admiration for the brave boy on the other side of the wall. "Thank you for talking to me, Finn. Just knowing someone is here makes me feel a little better."
Finn's voice was reassuring. "We'll get through this, together. We have to hold on to hope. My clan will find me, they'll find us. We just have to survive until then."
Emilia smiled weakly, feeling a glimmer of hope in the darkness. Maybe, just maybe, they would make it out alive.
