We were just kids, but we knew it then,
Our hearts aligned, we were more than friends.
At eighteen, the world seemed vast,
But our love was a flame that burned so fast.

We'd stay up late, talking dreams and fears,
Sharing secrets, wiping tears.
In those moments, pure and true,
I knew I'd always love you.

Now years have passed, but still I see,
The youthful love that set us free.
Eighteen and forevermore,
Our hearts will dance, just like before.
