Strange Love

Chapter One

Since I was a little girl I dreamed of finding love , or actually being in love with a Prince sweeping me off my feet.

When I enrolled at Rimon High School I found that love with a dude named SB.

SB was a sweetheart although he was cocky.After dating him for a few months my feelings became deeper for him.

SB was the person that got me into rapping , as I'd mimick Lil Kim thinking just one day I'll be as great as her.

I was young and hungry, being like every other teen wanting to move out the hood and put my mama in a lavish car and house.

"You gotta have a little bit more heart, I want you to feel the lyrics ight?"SB said as I rolled my eyes sighing loudly.

"I've repeated the same lines more than ten times I think I have it down pack. "

"Do it again," SB said stepping back a bit.

We were in the busy streets of Los Angeles as I was still embarrassed yelling weird rhymes out as SB gave me a weak ass beat with his mouth.

I said my first line as I busted out laughing as a group of people looked at me.

"Oh my God can I stop now ?This is embarrassing. "

"Onika how you gonna feel when you blow up performing in front of thousands of people. "

"I have to get noticed first,nobody knows who I am."

"But they will ,and did you get the recording set?"

"I haven't but I will get to a recording set first."

"Yo moms still ain't get it yet?"

I shook my head as SB sucked his teeth.

"Moneys tight this month, my mom's trying the best she can. Maybe you can put in on it."

"I might,"SB said as I rolled my eyes.

"Look lets pick up on this tomorrow, "I said tired of being in his presence.

"So you mad now?"

"No I'm just tired and wanna go home."

He furrowed his eyebrows as he kissed my forehead.

"I'll be over at 10:30 leave the window unlocked,"SB said as I looked at him.

"You hear me talking to you?"SB asked as his chains jiggled around his neck.

"Yes."

"Mama I'm home,"I said taking my shoes off.

"She's gone,"my brother Jelani said.

"Damn I wanted to catch her before she left. "

"Money related? "

I nodded.

"Nicks I told you I can get you whatever your heart desires."

I shook my head.

"You got enough on your plate especially with a baby on the way."

"True that but you're family,"he said taking a sip of his Sprite.

"It's okay,"I said rejecting his offer.

"But what you did all day?"

"SB and I went down town and rapped a little. "

"You still with his ass ?"

"Yes,why you sound so surprised. "

"Dudes hella suspect. "

"Chill that's my baby,"I said .

"Yet you still haven't introduced him to mom."

I'm waiting on the right moment.
