Every weekend i go to my dads hotel resort since my parents are divorced. I stay there but my dad doesn't, he works there so i get to see him sometimes.
I usually just stay in the room watching the sunrise but today I didn't. I was too lazy to wake up so I decided to go to the beach at night. I know it doesn't sound safe and fun but it is. safe? yes. fun? yes, just not this time. At 10 I went to the beach, my dad's resort was for tourists and to stay for vacation but I swore I saw 3 familiar faces. I'm a thornton, yes as an topper thornton. Anyways, i go to the golfing course and every time I went there I saw those 3 familiar faces. Topper, Kelce and Rafe. Of course really- really familiar faces.
Rafe, I've known him since forever, we're not enemies nor friends. his sister is my best friend, and hes my brothers best friend. I see him sometimes at her house and the golf course. and the rest I know them well, Topper unfortunately, is my brother. I don't really have so much to say about him but it doesn't really matter, we have a sister and brother bond. yes he's a dick. but sometimes he can be nice, to some people. And if I forgot to mention he's my older brother, just by 10 seconds. You will probably hear it again from Topper. He wanted to stay with mom this weekend but somehow ended up in my dad's resort? Kelce, well I know him by both of them.

I went to the beach and saw them, "hopefully they didn't see me" I thought, well Y/n Thornton, you were so wrong. Rafe was the only one who walked to me while I was sitting on the sand. "hey" I ignored him trying to focus on the dark blue waves. He nudged my shoulder, I turned to him because by then I couldn't ignore him or walk away. I could but my first thought was turning to him. "what?" "I said hey?" "oh sorry I didn't hear you" "why? were you too focused on the guys walking by?" "I can't even see the sky and you expect me to see guys?" "I mean you were "distracted" he says air quoting "well maybe I just didn't want to talk to one of those guys" I say getting up and pointing at him, rafe gets up too. "are you mad at me? whats going on" "I just want to be alone rafe" I say walking away

RAFES POV
As I saw y/n walking away I went to topper, "yo topper you need to get your sister man" "why? what did she say?" "when I went to her she just ignored me" "rafe it's really not that serious it's just Y/n" it wasn't just Y/n, when I go to toppers house I barley see her, there was only 2 reasons why I wanted to go to their house, her and topper. I've had a huge crush on her ever since I've met her, I've seen her around the golf course, sometimes at my house for sarah, but why couldn't she come for me and not for her? she's been to my house but I see her, when she's at mines I've get too nervous and just stay in my room until she leaves. I know I may sound like a pussy but that was a long time ago I've regained my confidence but i don't see her as usual anymore. did something happened?
when i went over to toppers, I went to go to the bathroom but they had 4 and all of them were occupied for some reason. The only bathroom that wasn't occupied was Y/ns, I was so excited to go to her room to see her. Mostly I had to piss but still.
I went to her room to knock on the door, no one answered. I knocked again, no one answered. I went in her room and I saw her sneaking out. When she went to the roof I called her name, "Y/n!" she turns "rafe? what are you doing here?" "more like what are you doing?" "please dont tell topper about any of this" "why you're sneaking out what's the big deal about that?" I saw someone waiting for her screaming her name "who's that?" I say pointing at them "dont worry about that, just tell topper that im asleep if he asks." "okay but I got a question" "what?" "Y/n!" she turns around "ill be there in a sec! what is it rafe?" "can I use your bathroom real quick?" "seriously?" I nod "fine just don't mess with anything" "didnt even think about it" "okay well thank you but I have to go" she turns around, then turns back "what are you-" she interrupts me with a kiss on the cheek "thank you again" I didn't reply just a smile, and with that she left.

THE NEXT DAY

I was reading on the tanning chairs of the resort, after coming back from moms to get my clothes. I saw those 3 familiar faces again. It was dark outside, I was reading until.. I was splashed by all of them when they were doing a fucking cannonball all together. "What the fuck!" I say getting up, thankfully my book didn't get wet but I got wet.
and not in a good way.
"Sorry Y/n!" "My bad!" I heard Topper and Kelce yell and laugh, I was so distracted worried about my book I didn't even know if I heard all of them saying sorry. "whatever" I say getting all up of my stuff walking away when I got to the door I felt someone's hand on my arm and turned around, it was Rafe. shocker.
"stay. where are you going?" "what do you mean 'where am I going?' all of y'all splashed me clearly on purpose. "who said we did?" "Topper and Kelce were laughing? how can that not sound on purpose?" "They're dicks, plus they said sorry" "yeah sure" I scoffed getting my arm out of his grip "please stay" "nothing or no one is gonna make me stay" "really?" "yes real-" I got cut off by him grabbing me putting me over his shoulder "Rafe get me down!" "Nope!" He said running towards the pool and we both went in. As soon as I went in the pool, I decided to trick them that I couldn't swim. I put my hand up, and putting it down pretending to drown "Dude she can't swim! Get her out!" Rafe got me out and he put me on the floor I pretended to choke on the water and when Rafe went to do mouth to mouth I pushed him in the water. Topper and Kelce laughed I put my hands on my hip when he got out of the surface "now we're even, ill see you guys later" "wait!" I waited for him to get out of the water "were you actually drowning?" "Rafe, read the room" "right" "yeah, um see you guys around i guess" I said turning to Kelce and Topper "yeah" "mhm" "bye y/n!" "bye" I said smiling and waving to them, walking away

RAFES POV
"dude you've got to stop crushing on my sister, it's creepy" "right, don't you still love mine after she broke up with you?" "shut up!" Kelce laughs "dude don't let me come to your poor love life" "yeah right I actually lose feelings after we break up" "who's we? cause you got a whole roster of girls and never actually date any of them" "I was the one who gave you relationship advice and you treat me like this? wow" Kelce says hurt having his hands on his chest "dude" "but seriously it has to stop Rafe" "ill stop whenever we break up man" Topper rolls his eyes "so that's never, because you're never getting together" "we are" "has she agreed?" "she doesn't know yet but I know she's gonna say yes I mean look at me" "I doubt she is but don't flatter yourself, you're probably not her type" "that's Rafe fucking Cameron, he's everybody's type" "my man" me and kelce dab up "I bet she's gonna say no" "I bet she's gonna say yes" "really? wanna bet on it?" "dude she's a girl she isn't some lame poker game" "alright you just lost yourself $1000 dollars" "shit $1000 dollars?" "yeah man" "alright bet" me and Kelce shook hands "Rafe don't, you're gonna hurt her feelings" "$1000 dollars is $1000 dollars topper" Kelce said.
