I had to write this fanfic after that entrapment scene which was so out of place.
English is not my native language nor am I a writer.
I did my best to convey through words my imagination of what the scene could have been after Colin uttered these mean words to Penelope.
Enjoy!

There he stood, with no words. Not even looking at her. His last words to her was "I will never forgive you!", and he went away and never looked back nor did he try to talk to her afterwards. She wondered if Colin would really never be able to forgive her. Did he even love her as much as she did or did he love her less, because Penelope knew no matter what had happened she had forgiven him, even if it took time to as she loved him that much.
She lifted her eyes to look at him, he looked furious and was staring blankly in front of him. She was unable to fathom what was going on in his mind. He didn't even try to look towards her. "Colin... will you atleast look at me?". Maybe then she might be able to read him by looking in his eyes if he glanced towards her side.
"My mother was curious about our not seeing each other recently and I did not want to arouse suspicions", he replied while still looking in front of him. 'Was that the only reason he came?', Penelope thought. Didn't Colin want to see her or talk to her or try to solve things between them? Did he not care that their relationship was just affected? Did he truly care that little for her and their relationship?
Penelope inspected his behaviour and it seemed as though he was very unhappy to even be in her presence. Would he be willing to even marry her? She inquired tensely, "Are you going to call off the wedding?", as it would seem the only way he could get out of this unhappiness.
While still looking in front of him and remaining stationary, Colin replied: "I am a man of honour." Penelope wondered if that is all the purpose why he would be willing to be in a marriage with her; because of honour? He continued: "And we were... intimate". 'Is that the reason why?', Penelope thought, shocked.
That should not be the reason to fulfil the responsibility towards their marriage, it was love, it was such a precious and tender moment between them, they had shared something memorable that day. She felt her heart ache at his words. Tears started pooling in her eyes. He was quieter with his last word as their mothers were still there preparing for their wedding breakfast. A wedding she was not sure was still going to take place.
Colin's voice got back to its normal pitch and Penelope was not expecting nor could not believe what she had just heard him say additionally: "Perhaps that was another part of your plan entrapment." Colin spoke without choking a bit on his words. Penelope gasped. Her mouth opened at the shock of the words. She wasn't able to fully process what she had just heard and she felt a sharp pain in her heart. Was that the man she loved who was accusing her of such a vile action? Entrapment? ENTRAPMENT? Penelope was unable to believe her ears. Whatever could he mean?
She loved him. With all her heart, with all she could know of how to love a man. She tried to protect him and looked out for him as much as she could, even using her secret identity to help him out even if that meant ruining her and her family.
When she printed the gossip on Marina, Penelope knew that it would mean the ruin of her and her family but she could not think of anything at that moment except that Colin was being deceived, he was being fooled. She was willing to let him go if Marina was not deceiving him or truly loved him because Colin seemed to. However, Pen could not let Colin be deceived as such, entrapped in a deceitful marriage. She saved him. She looked out for him and this is how he thought of her?
