(This is the AU where Ryder and Carlos aren't cousins/related. The pups are humanized but I'm still going to call them 'pups' because why tf would I call them 'humans'? It sounds weird.)

The pups were on their way to see Carlos and Tracker in the jungle. Carlos and Tracker decided to invite them to the jungle so they could get a break from their missions, well, that was their excuse. The pups decided to bring Everest and Rex along with them. In the PAW Patroller, Rex, Marshall, and Everest were excited to go to the jungle. Rex hasn't met Carlos or Tracker yet so he's excited to meet them. "You're going to love Tracker and Carlos. They're super nice." Marshall said. "Yeah!" Skye chimed in. Then she whispered. "And I think Carlos has a thing for Ryder~" Marshall and Rex giggled. "Don't be so loud! Ryder might hear us." Skye whispered. Marshall and Rex giggled quieter.

"Alright pups! We're here!" Ryder said, stopping the PAW Patroller in the jungle. The pups all cheered and eagerly rushed out to meet Tracker and Carlos. Tracker rushed towards them once he heard them. Carlos and Ryder watched as they all jumped around and were excited to see each other. "Woah, you're Tracker!" Rex said excitedly. "Yup, that's me." Tracker said happily. "I'm Rex! It's really nice to meet you Tracker!" Rex smiled brightly. Tracker blushed very slightly. He was starting to like Rex. Tracker decided to take them to the lake. Ryder and Carlos were far behind the group, busy with their own conversation.

"So Ryder, how does it feel to finally take a break from Adventure Bay for a while?" Carlos said. Ryder smiled. "It's a lot more relaxing. Less worrying about someone falling off a tree over a river." Ryder said with a soft chuckle. Everyone, except Ryder, knew Carlos had a big crush on Ryder. Carlos and Ryder have been friends for a really long time. Ever since the two were kids, Carlos has had a crush on him. The pups loved teasing him about it too.

When they arrived at the lake, the pups decided to jump in and swim around. They were having fun while Carlos and Ryder were still catching up with each other. Immersed fully into their conversation. Because Rex was wheelchair-bound, he sat on the ground near the lake but not too close. Basically acting as a lifeguard for them. Tracker was floating on the edge of the lake, admiring Rex from afar. Marshall swam up to him. "Hey Tracker, what are you looking at?" The blue eyed boy asked curiously. Tracker snapped out of his dazed state. "Oh uhm... Rex.." Marshall raised an eyebrow. "Why?" Tracker had to think of an excuse. "I guess he's just... cute." Tracker mentally facepalmed. That was not what he wanted to say. "Looks like you've got a little thing for Rex, don't you?" Marshall teased. "Shush! Not too loud. Before everyone else start teasing me like how they tease Carlos about Ryder." Tracker said in a hushed voice. Marshall playfully rolled his eyes. "Don't worry, your secret is safe with me."
