When I wake, the sun is streaming brightly across my face, filtering through the window's blinds. It casts a warm glow, and as I turn to look, I find Anakin nestled against me, his arm draped comfortably around my hip. A soft smile graces my lips as I lean down to kiss his brow. He grunts, his nose twitching in response, and I stifle a laugh; he is undeniably adorable in these moments of tranquil vulnerability.
"Anakin, it's time to wake up," I whisper gently, brushing a few stray locks from his forehead and tracing the line of his scar. His blue eyes flutter open, and he mumbles, "I don't mind." I chuckle, planting a kiss on his nose. "Perhaps you will one day," I reply teasingly. Then, I take his hand from my hip and sit up, stretching luxuriously. "We have duties to attend to, my friend. Come on."
Anakin groaned, burying his nose into the pillow, a picture of lethargy, while I stood up from the bed, observing my friend sprawled there like a tooka cat reluctant to rise. "Come on, you big lug," I said, gently patting his shoulder before heading to the bathroom to refresh myself, my body still sticky with the remnants of last night's warmth.
The shower felt delightful as the hot water cascaded over my weary, sore body. I noticed a few love marks adorning my skin, scattered like stars across the canvas of my form, and a smile spread across my face. Oh, Anakin, you big lump, I thought fondly. Well, they're bites I won't mind having; if anyone inquires, I shall simply say I was caught in a whirlwind of passion overnight.
I stepped out of the shower, the steam curling around me like an embrace. The air was thick, with droplets of water tracing a path down my skin as I reached for a towel hanging on the rack nearby. I began to dry off my short black hair, squeezing out the excess moisture before running my fingers through the damp strands. The soft fabric warmed against my skin, but I wanted to indulge a little more in the magic of my morning routine.
With a snap of my fingers, an enchanted towel whirred to life. It glided toward me, its edges flickering with a gentle luminescence as it began its task. The towel moved effortlessly, drying every drop from my body, absorbing the moisture as if it were an eager apprentice. I stood still, relishing the sensation of being wrapped in this cocoon of warmth and softness.
As the last of the water dissipated, I felt the familiar tug of magic around me. Clothing materialized with swift precision: a deep red shirt that whispered of boldness and a sleek black leather jacket that clung to me like a second skin. Completing the ensemble, I fastened a choker necklace adorned with a delicate heart pendant—a token from Obi-Wan that pulsed with his unique energy. It felt like a small piece of comfort, reminding me of his thoughtful nature.
I stretched, easing into the day, my movements fluid and confident. With my appearance set, I stepped into the living world beyond the confines of my sanctuary. Every morning held a whisper of adventure, and I was more than ready to embrace it. Today would be no different. Today was mine.
"Well, well, if I were here with you after the night we had, then damn if I don't want to see you like this," Anakin said, stepping into the room, dressed in his standard clone and Jedi attire. The way he looked at me sent a shiver down my spine—part mischief, part admiration.
He reached up, gently tugging a loose strand of dark hair tucked behind my ear, his touch light yet electric. A small smirk danced on his lips as he leaned down, brushing his mouth against mine. The kiss was brief, but it ignited a warmth within me that lingered long after he pulled away. I could feel the thrill of our connection, a link forged through chaos and excitement, pulsing between us.
"Come on," he urged, his voice steady, yet laced with urgency. "We better get to the hangar. We have a new mission."
I nodded, the thrill of adrenaline shooting through my veins at the mention of a fresh assignment. This was what we lived for—the uncharted paths that awaited us, the thrills of the galaxy, and the unknown challenges that helped us grow stronger alongside each other.
