As you know I often disappear when writers block gets the best of me. It usually happens when my life becomes rather busy. Well now that I am somewhat settled in a new state with my husband I will like to try my best in pushing out content. I Hope you give this new story a chance. Feel free to comment your thoughts on the characters or plot. I encourage you to dive into the story like you would with your favorite tv show or movie. Although my work are work of fiction I do understand these series of themes can hit home for someone. So adhere to my warning that all my works including this new project hold strong topics such as, abuse, religion, strong language, and extreme domestic situations.

Chapter One: Introduction

Sunlight filtered through stained glass windows, casting an ethereal glow on the hushed congregation. The soft melody of the organ seemed to seep into the souls of the worshippers, creating a serene atmosphere. Amidst this holy ambiance sat GRACE WATSON, a woman in her mid-twenties, her face turned upward in silent prayer. Her appearance was deceptively ordinary; a simple dress, hair pulled back in a modest bun. Yet, beneath this pious facade lurked a secret life as far removed from this sacred space as heaven from hell.

A sharp pain in her thigh jolted her from her reverie. She opened her eyes to find Noah, her boyfriend, glaring at her. His irritation was palpable.

"Pay attention, Grace" he hissed, his voice carrying just enough volume to be heard by those seated nearby. "This isn't a place to doze off."

Grace's cheeks burned with embarrassment. She hadn't been sleeping, but the accusation stung. She forced a smile, hoping to deflect the attention. Her mind raced, a stark contrast to the tranquility of the church. She was a world away from this place, lost in a labyrinth of guilt and desire.

Noah curtly nodded at another couple who seemed to be paying attention to them. His actions shifted, showing himself as a concerned boyfriend, as he wraps his large arms around me.

The pastor's voice, a comforting baritone, filled the air. Words of faith and forgiveness washed over her, but they offered little solace. Her soul was a battlefield, torn between the sacred and the profane.

" Weeping may endure for a night, church, but I stand before you to say, Joy Comes in the Morning. Why? Because God gives Grace to those who love him. Grace is an underserved blessing. Grace is God's unmerited Favor. Grace, the divine gift from God. Somebody out to thank God for his Grace."

A tickle in Grace's throat rises as she listens to the pastor's sermon. The words, filled with promise and hope, resonate with a part of her that desperately wants to believe. Grace, undeserved favor, a divine gift. It sounded almost too good to be true, especially when weighed against the heavy burden of her double life.
