Chapter Nine

"Where is he at?" My mate's voice reached my ears as she shouted at who she was with

"I don't know. He could be dead" I chuckled lowly at the sound of my brother's mate unamused voice

"You aren't helping me,Chloe" Haley growled I walked towards my the living room before sneaking behind my mate and wrapping my arms around her waist causing her to jump "Asher,Where is Tyler?" She didn't make a move to leave my arms but she turned around to face me

"He's fine"

"For now" Chloe whispered with a chuckle I growled at her lowly causing her to raise her hands in surrender "What?I'm speaking the truth"

"Where's Taz?" I ignored Haley as she tried talking to me about the rouge

"He's talking to dad about moving you guys into a bigger house,You've got two new family members" She paused looking at my mate behind me who was growling in my ear "I say you've got a handful"

I nodded while laughing "She's crazy" I whispered knowing Haley could hear me

"I am not!" She grunted before turning and leaving the room while muttering something about stupid mates

"You're lucky dude" I looked at Chloe with a large smile as she spoke "I can't believe 'The Asher Dawson' has a mate" I lost my smile as I took in her words. I was one of the biggest players in this pack and I never even had my mate in mind. I thought the moon goddess would give me a male mate seeing as that's how normal wolves worked,It's very rare to get a same sex mate but it's not impossible "She doesn't know,does she?" My head flew up at this question. Of course she knew about my ways but I don't think she knew just how bad it was. I shook my head before making my way to the couch and sitting down. Chloe just shrugged and walked over sitting on my lap.

"She knows. I don't think she knows how bad though" Chloe leaned her head back on my shoulder and looked me in the eyes. I slowly felt my self calm down as she looked at me. Chloe was part vampire so I knew she was doing something to calm me down. "You shouldn't do that" I whispered so lowly that I could barely hear myself speak. We sat like that for another few minutes before a low growl pulled our eyes from each other. My eyes found Taz who was standing next to my dad who was looking at us confused

"Are you two okay?" My father was the first to speak causing Chloe to leap from my lap and walked over to Taz.

"I'm fine" I gave them a fake smile as I felt my worry raise through the roof again. I kept my eyes away from Chloe's not wanting to be pulled in by her gaze again. "So What's going on?" I quickly changed the the subject.

"Well I really don't want to leave this house so You'll be moving into another house closer to the pack house since you'll be Alpha soon. You might as well be closer to your office" My father nodded as he spoke towards me "You'll be taking Haley with you and I'll be moving Kat into the pack house if that's okay with her sister, Where is your mate?"

"She's angry with me. I locked up a rouge who she knew" I growled lowly at the thought of the Tyler kid who was after my mate "He should be killed for treason against my Luna" My wolf grew angry at the thought of the boy who came and tried taking her mate away. I jumped from my spot on the couch and started pacing "He wants my mate but he can't have my mate. She's mine" I felt a hand on my shoulder causing me to spin around quickly as my eyes met a pair of brown ones "Haley" I breathed a sigh of relief and I pulled her into my arms again "I'm sorry for upsetting you,You are my mate and I didn't want him to take you away" I held her out at arms length "We'll go see him now" I started pulling her towards the door. Once we were half way out the door,Haley stopped me

"He's my friend. You are my mate." She sighed before grabbing both of my hands "I haven't been the greatest mate to you. I've tried rejecting you for a man who wasn't you" She tilted her head to look me in the eyes "I accept you as my mate comepletely." She grabbed my hand dragging me towards the pack house. I allowed her to drag me towards our bedroom in the pack house. Once we were inside our room she locked the door and pushed me backwards onto the bed. "I want you to mark me" She purred out climbing on top of me. I felt my wolf start to take over

"Are you sure? I don't mind waiting" Haley slowly nodded her head biting her lip. I watched as her eyes went black and she purred in content as my lips met her neck.
