He's late.
And he's running.
Because he's afraid she might have slept till now, after all she has a mock trial tomorrow, but a small part of his heart knows she's awake and waiting for him.
Panting with a bag of bungeoppang in hand, he finally makes it to the building she lives in.
He ties a knot to the bag and starts climbing up using the tiny pillars as support until he reaches the first window.
A few more windows and stretches and finally he's on the 4th window.
He gestures his hand to tap on the window when it opens with the person's head popping out.
The person he's climbed and ran for almost one and a half mile.
"Ciao Cara." He grins and she opens the window wide enough for him to enter inside.
"Oh, it's you, I thought it was Inzaghi." She makes her way inside and places the bag of corn biscuits on the little table inside her room.
Vincenzo rolls his eyes.
This pigeon is becoming a nuisance, really.
First, the unnecessary tapping on the window for attention while they're enjoying their time.
Now, stealing his spotlight.
"What's with this pigeon and you?" He tries not to sound like he's whining, but oh well.
"Wae? Are you jealous?" She teases.
He ignores her remark and chooses to sit on her bed and hands her the bag.
She takes the bag and opens it and Vincenzo thinks all the cardio and exercise he did to make it till here is worth it because of the smile she's shooting him with.
"Nonna tried to make bungeoppang."
She takes a bite and her eyes sparkle in delight.
"She's an experienced chef." She praises while handing him the treat too.
They munch in silence while Cha Young analyzes the treat.
"This is inneoppang." She says narrowing her eyes and shaking her head at him.
"What's the difference anyway?" He says finishing the last bite and pulling her arm so she sits beside him.
"There is a huge difference." She says.
He looks at her for a while as if analyzing her features and then smiles and surrenders.
"As you say." Draping his arms around her, they both lay down for a while.
He has his chin on the top of her head and arms hugging her waist possessively.
Cha Young just makes herself comfortable by burying her face in the crooked of his neck.
"How's your preparation for the trial?" His adam's apple moves while he speaks and Cha Young finds it amusing.
"Solid." She replies while pecking his neck in a rush of fondness, she gets an answer as she feels the arms around her waist hugging her tightly.
Then, she remembers.
"Marco asked me out." She blurts out.
She feels Vincenzo hum as his neck moves in a soothing motion again.
"Marco from economics?"
"Yes." She says snuggling into him.
"What did you say?"
He can feel her smile against her neck and he knows what's coming when she pulls away from his neck, only to look him in the eyes with a mischievous glint.
"I said yes."
She nestles back to her spot, snuggling a little more.
He starts stroking her hair.
"What are you going to wear?"
"Something red." She says as her hands dance around his body.
He feels like they're not on the same page currently.
So, he pushes her body on to the mattress, his face hovering over hers.
"Brave move, Signora."
She pulls him closer by his neck, eyes filled with mischievousness.
"I'll take that as a compliment." She whispers close to his lips.
"It is a compliment." He says before he's off devouring her.
Time passes and they're making out when his hand comes to cradle her jaw, the other one stroking her collar bone when she notices the red scrapes on his hand.
She breaks the kiss and he groans.
"Training hard?" She asks as she analyzes the cuts on his hands, still recovering her breath.
He just hums and closes his eyes because he knows stopping her will have no good result instead of a good lecture.
She gets up to get some bandage and ointment while Vincenzo just closes his eyes and wishes he had tended his wounds so that they wouldn't have to stop their activities.
She puts on an ointment, and it is then he opens his eyes.
He sits up when she opens the bandage.
"Don't you have a simple one?" He asks when he sees a pink hello-kitty bandage strapped on his knuckles.
He knows refusing the treatment or the wear of bandage is futile.
After three more bandages, she hums with satisfaction and turns to throw the waste away.
"Cha Young-ah!" She looks at him, eyes wide in alarm while he just makes his way to the window slowly.
He's used to this, really.
Not a day spent without her father's interruption.
Fortunately, he doesn't open the door or it might be a dead-end, every time.
"Ne, abeoji!" She shouts.
"Where's the makgeolli?" He shouts back.
"In the garage, I placed the boxes there."
There's a shouting match and Vincenzo inwardly thanks god, that her father found the wine or she'd have to go out to find the box for him.
"That was close." She grins and makes her way to him.
He opens his arms for her.
"I'll be leaving." He says and she looks at him brows furrowed.
"Too early?" She asks.
He nods.
"I have a busy day tomorrow, I need to attend a few lectures and go to training with Luca, then Papa wants to talk out some business dealings with me. You should get some sleep too." He says while he resumes to hug her.
After there's no reply from her he says.
"Ah-I forgot the most important work."
"What?" She asks voice muffled.
"Do you really want to know?"
She looks at him affronted.
He pecks her lips before saying "I have to steal Marco's date tomorrow."
