Author's note:

Hey there! This story is the one i started in the comment section of a post by @jayleena on youtube (go check her out, she's great!). One chapter = one part. I made some changes for the story to make more sense and added some stuff. I also came up with the characters' names, I'll try to post some art in the future!

Small presentation of the main character:

As i snap a few pictures, i make sure to immediately hide out of their sight. These shots would give me a promotion for sure, this criminal group has been on the run for the past two years, and not a single detective among the most competent ones has been able to even figure how many members are part of this gang. I'd finally be recognised for my talent, in spite of being a rookie in the field. Me, Liliane Roberts, the new phenomenon of the crime solving field! That is, if I get to impress my bosses. Enough of that, back to work. As i review the shots,my previous confidence evaporates and my heart drops to my stomach. In every single shot, the tallest criminal stares directly at my camera, smirking. My thoughts rush in my head and before i can elaborate a clear one, a voice emmerges by my side, snapping me out of my stupeur.

"How'd they come out? I made sure you took my good profile".

Oh no. There he is, icy blue eyes looking sharply at mine, as if he was scanning me. If looks could kill, I'd be dead the moment our eyes met. I remain silent, holding my breath, expecting for something to happen, for a weapon to be revealed, a gunshot, but nothing happens. He steps closer, his cologne's scent reaching me. I am unable to move, too stunned to speak. He takes the camera from my hands, and starts looking at the pictures. "He'll shatter it" i think to myself, "just wait". But he simply hands over my camera, his smirk strongly glued to his face. "If you write a good report, maybe I'll reveal something more interesting than just pretty faces" he says, almost whispering. I quickly snatch away my camera, panicked, and run away. He could easily catch me up, but he doesn't. When i look back, panting, he's gone, not a single hint pointing out he was even there. I quickly check my pockets. My phone and my wallet are still there. Ok, good. He didn't take anything. You never know with that kind of people. I then check my camera. The pictures are still there. Relieved, i walk quickly back home, still confused.

I watch her as she walks away. I knew she was spying on us the moment I felt her presence across the street. She must be a rookie, coming so naively close with nothing but a ridiculous hoodie on her head. I laugh to myself as I see her looking around, ad if I'd appear from thin air behind her. I could. When you're a criminal, one of the main things to know is to walk quietly. I didn't even need to use my gun. I don't know why. The boss said i could. Maybe it was her age. As young as me, maybe younger. Too young for dangerous shit like this. Maybe it was the fright in her eyes. Beautiful, big hazel eyes. Or were they lighter? I couldn't tell in the dark. She was trembling like a leaf. Was it pity, then? I don't know. Still, i want to see what she'll do. Something tells me this will take an... Interesting turn, to say the least...
