Walking through Brooklyn at exactly midnight as it pours down raining the shops around lights going out as the streets get quieter
all but the street lights guiding my way through the quiet night as I see the animals running for shelter and some people doing the same
As the man with the suit ruins to his car to not get wet and the mother with her children rushing to get inside just as the moon shines in
My hood getting soggy and my shoes muddy yet not slippery as I make my way to the place I call my safe zone as I approach the red bridge
As I stand ever so still on the rail my feet carrying me as I dance my feet moving swiftly and my hair slightly flowing through the breeze
As the rain moves and misses my every step the piano slowly playing in my C C a head hitting me every right key then slowly stops
As I stand in the middle of the rail over the glistening dark water my clothes flowing as I feel my feet slowly move forward and the piano playing softly my foot just about to touch air
"Hi" as girl with brown hair and beautiful blue eyes wearing nothing but a small coat and some jeans with her white
As I slowly wave my hand pushing my foot back a little away from the air my foot was about to touch
"What's ur name" she says ever so softy as I wonder if I should talk after all these years or even simply whisper my tongue slightly holding back when I didn't answer the girl she took that as a sign I wasn't gonna talk
"Want to come to my house for hot chocolate" she ask ever so sweetly yet u can hear the sadness and the will to beg me not to go forward in her voice
"I'm lonely" she said as she steps a little closer as I look back at the water and back at the girl with her now down head I take one finale glance at the water as the piano hits the wrong note and step off to grab her hand
And walk down the silent night I stop and look back just one more time and I nod saying goodbye to the bridge I will soon be back at
"Let's go" she says as she pulls me to a small but cozy house with the fire place still on
"Will u take ur shoes off please" she says as I stand out side the door pleading with myself not to go in
I slowly take my shoes off and step inside closing the door
"U can sit" she says pointing to the couch I take a second to sit but I do
"Can u take ur hoodie off so u won't get sick" I shake my head no i so badly want to sometimes but then I remember why I don't
"Ok" she says as we sit in silence
"My name is Alice I'm 22 years old" the girl named Alice says I get up to search for a piece of paper and pencil
As I find it I write down what I'm trying to say
"Hello I am rose I am also 22" I write on the paper handing it to her she reads it and smiles
"Don't talk or can't talk?" She asks
I write down can't even tho I very much can i would rather not have questions being asked
"I don't trust that answer but I will believe you" Alice says as she smiles and sips her coffee
As she stands up and turns the tv on and I watch her I realize the small cut on her cheek and I wonder what happened
As the tv comes on immediately going to a channel with a girl playing the most beautiful melody and a voice going with it as girl with soft black curls,small freckles and bright purple eyes

She gets up to grab a pillow and blanket and sets up the small place on the couch and makes sure I'm comfy she turns off the light
As i stay up for a while finally closing my eyes drifting off to sleep In complete darkness
