The meeting hall was filled with important people, like shareholders and top executives, who were all wondering why they had been called in so suddenly.
"Why do you think we're here?" one person asked.
"Maybe the project we submitted is doing really well. It was a big and important one," another replied.
Just then, the door opened, and everyone went quiet. A man walked in, looking serious and in charge. He had sharp eyes, a strong jaw, and was dressed in a perfect suit. This was Arjun Mehra, the CEO of Mehra Industries. Everyone stood up as he entered.
"Please, everyone, sit down," he said as he took his seat.
Arjun Mehra was a man known for his passion, manners, and hatred for liars and betrayal.
"The project we discussed got a huge response. The client liked it a lot, but," he paused and then smirked, "before we go on, can anyone tell me what I hate the most?"
Everyone looked confused and scared. Arjun's expression was very serious and intimidating.
"Lies and betrayal," they all answered together.
Arjun nodded slowly. He stood up and walked around the table. A sense of fear filled the room, especially around Mr. Roy, who was visibly nervous.
"Mr. Roy," Arjun said calmly, "your phone is ringing. Why don't you answer it?"
Mr. Roy, sweating and shaking, picked up his phone, which was vibrating silently. He answered it and went pale as he listened. After a few seconds, he stood up in shock.
A voice on the other end, from his secretary, said loudly enough for everyone to hear, "Sir, the police have shut down all our illegal factories, our market shares have dropped, and we are bankrupt."
Mr. Roy looked at Arjun in horror. "You did this," he said, his voice trembling.
Arjun smiled briefly, then his face turned serious again.
"What made you think I would let you get away with betraying me? How dare you try to sell this project to Singh Industries, knowing they are my enemies? Thanks to you, maybe we aren't such big enemies anymore."
Mr. Roy had tried to sell the project to Karan Singh, a major rival. But Karan had rejected it and informed Arjun about Mr. Roy's actions.
Karan Singh and Arjun's father are enemies in business industry but both are fair when it comes to business.
"And don't forget to leave this company," Arjun said firmly, then walked out of the room, leaving everyone in shock.
After the meeting, Varun, Arjun's best friend and a member of Mehra Industries, walked in. Varun was easygoing and had a buddy personality.
"You didn't even tell me that Mr. Karan was here," Varun said, sitting on the couch.
"I thought you'd hate to meet him," Arjun replied, starting to work on his files.
"Who said I hate him? He's a tough competitor. And the fact is he is my father's enemy, not mine," Arjun said, still focused on his work.
"So, you don't hate them anymore?" Varun asked.
"No, and besides, my father and Mr. Karan made an agreement that will make our relationship stronger," Arjun said, surprising Varun.
"What kind of agreement?" Varun asked, curious.
"A marriage," Arjun said without much interest.
"A mar- what?!" Varun shouted.
"Why are you shouting?" Arjun asked, irritated.
