pt. 3 ~ background

She woke up half on, half off her bed groaning as her alarm sounded. She smacked her phone, knowing that it wont turn it off and eventually picked it up, turning off the annoying song her other friend, a brother-like friend, always blasts in her ear to piss her off. She put it as her alarm so she's more motivated to get up and turn that nasty shit off.

She managed to finish a huge chunk of her work yesterday but she had to do it at night after it took her a while to calm down after that. And now she felt groggy as hell.
She got up and got ready for her uni lecture which was unfortunately really early on fridays. She checked through her messages:

Ji: bitch u said
u would be early.
today's the day i
tell him!! hurry up mf

Me: chill im
basically ready
coming

"ugh... totally forgot about how shes confronting and breaking it off with that guy today" she muttered as she grabbed a cereal bar before going to the front door.

"Come home early sweetie"
Y/n whipped her head around, startled by her mother spawning randomly out of no where. Since when did she wake up to bid y/n fairwell? Y/n smiled apologetically about yesterday and nodded. Her mom pulled her by the arm which made her shiver and flinch slightly as she places a kiss on her head and waved her goodbye.

She made it to uni by bus and saw her friend, Ji-won, waiting near a bench on campus. she slapped y/n's arm playfully and rolled her eyes,
"finally, about time! He said he's coming in a bit."

After a while of waiting the guy Ji was hooking up with finally arrived.
"So you brought a friend to help you?"
He scoffed
"And you don't? where's that girl you've been fucking with? Why don't you bring her over and I can show her what kinda person you are!~"
Ji babbles in an irritated and cheery and mocking manner.
He groans and claws his forehead with a facepalm and glares at her.
Y/n cuts in front of them and attempts to call them down.
"Look, seeing by how he's acting, surely there's a misunderstanding?" Y/n questions, looking at him. He doesn't respond. Gosh, the type of guys Ji gets involved with... y/n sighs.
"Exactly! What did I say? This guy's a man whore! Acting all cute in front of me at first then getting bored and on the hunt for another girl! The audacity... literally flirted with her in front of me as well! What the fuck man?!"
"HAH! The whore says!" he lashed back

A whole squabble errupted which resulted in them screaming at each other by the end, while y/n tries to put everything in order and explain everything properly.

By the time he left after Ji confronted him about his wrongs, she was, as expected, sobbing into y/n's arms.
"He's such a dick, i fucking hate him. i wish i never liked him"
you didnt like him... y/n thought to herself. She wonders when Ji will ever understand that she won't get anywhere if she actively just dates any guy who's somewhat nice to her.
She patted Ji on the back while they embrace, allowing her to sob into her. After a while, Ji looked up at y/n and gave a broken smile.
"What would I do without you pooks?"

She uttered in a broken voice, laughing a little as she wiped her tears. She was truly appreciative, knowing that her ordeals were probably a handful for y/n, yet she was always there to be her teddy bear. After a while, y/n heads inside for her lecture and Ji tells her she'll join her later.
