Arohi opened her eyes and looked around. It was still dark which meant she was asleep for sometime only.
She groaned and adjusted herself in a sitting position. Her back was hurting along with her neck. She felt too weak to stand up.
"I'm starving. I need food..." She caressed her stomach, which was grumbling due to hunger.
She recalled how Deep choked her. It made her shiver in fear. "I really thought we'd be celebrating your birthday and my pregnancy together... But look at what happened."
She sniffed, "I don't even know what to do anymore."
She rested her head against the wall and shut her eyes. She badly wanted to sleep so that time would pass by quickly.
She was scared what if he left her to starve the whole night? What if he forgot about her in the morning and left for office?
Her heart started thumping loudly against her rib cage as she started panicking.

Deep slurred in the car and woke up with a groan. It took him several seconds to realize where he was. But another couple or seconds to recall what happened.
"Shit..." He cursed as he recalled leaving Arohi in the basement.
"Shit." He cursed again and rubbed his eyes.
He quickly turned the engine on and drove back to the house.

Arohi clutched her stomach in pain. She realized she was late for her medicines which which was worsening her pain.
"Ahh..." She panted for breath as beads of sweat started forming on her forehead.
She got up slowly and held the wall for support. She walked towards the door and banged on it.
"Deep... Deep, please open the door... Aaah!"
Sharp pain shot inside her and she staggered back. Her vision started becoming cloudy and she looked around, desperate for a way of escape.
"I can't stay like this for long... I need to get out of here... Before... Before..." She gasped and slowly fell down on her knees.
Her breathing was becoming abnormal. Moreover, her abdomen pain had increased. It was difficult for her to even keep her eyes open.
"Ahhh! Deeep! Please open the door. I'm pregnant!" She screamed, hoping he'd listen to her.
She held her stomach tightly and screamed. It felt like her muscles were being torn apart. It felt like her bones were being crushed.
Large amount of tears streamed down her eyes as she suffered in pain.
She laid on the ground, holding her belly with shaking hands and screaming until her vision blackened. Her voice died down and she lost her consciousness.

Deep quickly stopped his car in the house's driveway and rushed inside. He had realized he left Arohi there for 4 hours. Although, he used to inflict different sorts of punishment on her, he felt locking her up, that too in a dark place like the basement, was a very bad idea.
