||Pain of ignorance||
Dil ki gehraai mein chhupa dard hai, Rishton ki doori ne dil ko tadpaya.....
Kahani adhoori hai, pyar ki raah par, Phir bhi har lamha tujhse judta hai, bas dil ko samjhaya....Aadhya woke up early, as she always did, to prepare her husband Agastya's favorite coffee. Agastya was a successful and famous businessman, while Aadhya was a simple, kind-hearted doctor. They had been married for five years, but lately, their relationship had grown distant. Aadhya hoped that today would be different.
She quietly moved through their luxurious mansion, heading to the kitchen. The house was a symbol of Agastya's success, filled with expensive decor and the latest technology. Yet, despite all this opulence, Aadhya felt a growing emptiness. She busied herself making his coffee, hoping the familiar routine would bring some comfort.
Agastya came downstairs, already dressed in his suit, ready for another busy day at the office. He was engrossed in his phone, typing away rapidly.
Aadhya: "Good morning, Agastya. I've made your favorite coffee."
Agastya barely looked up from his phone.
Agastya:"Good morning, Aadhya. But I have an important meeting this morning. I need to leave now."
He walked past her, not even glancing at the coffee she had made with so much love and effort. The hurt was evident in Aadhya's eyes, but she forced a smile.
Aadhya: "Oh, alright. Have a good day, Agastya."
As he left, she sighed and sat down, staring at the untouched coffee. It had been more than a month since he had been distant from her. She pushed her negative thoughts aside and got ready for work.
Aadhya never wore makeup or short dresses. At home, she liked wearing sarees, and at work, she wore simple kurtis. Her simplicity was part of her charm, but lately, she wondered if it was one of the reasons Agastya was drifting away.
When she reached the hospital, she greeted the receptionist and went to her cabin. The hospital was her second home, and her colleagues respected her for her dedication and kindness.
Receptionist: "Good morning, Dr. Aadhya."
Aadhya: "Good morning. What's today's schedule?"
Receptionist: "It's a busy day, Doctor. There's an emergency surgery you need to attend to."
A nurse came rushing to her.
Nurse: "Dr. Aadhya, there's an emergency surgery. You need to come quickly."
Aadhya: "I'll be right there."
She hurried to the operation room, putting on her surgical gown and gloves. The patient was in critical condition, and she focused all her energy on saving a life. Surgery was demanding, but it was also where Aadhya found solace. It gave her a sense of purpose and allowed her to forget her personal troubles for a while.
After a few hours of intense surgery, she finally managed to stabilize the patient. She sighed in relief, exhausted but satisfied with her work. She washed up and went to have a late lunch in the hospital cafeteria. Her colleagues chatted around her, but she felt alone. Her mind kept drifting back to Agastya and their strained relationship.
As night approached, Aadhya returned to their mansion and prepared dinner. Despite being exhausted, she didn't want to disappoint Agastya. She cooked his favorite dishes, hoping that sharing a meal together might bring them closer.
Hours passed, and she messaged him and even gave him a missed call. It was already 1 AM. She looked at the door as it opened and rushed to him.
Aadhya:"Agastya, you're finally home! Dinner is ready, let me warm it up for you."
Agastya had a cold expression on his face.
Agastya:"Aadhya, you shouldn't call me at work. I've already had dinner."
Her smile faded, but she tried to keep it.
Aadhya:"Oh, alright. You must be tired. Please rest."
Agastya:"I'm going to sleep. You should too."
He walked to their room, and Aadhya turned to look at the untouched food. Tears filled her eyes. She had lost her appetite. She put the food in the fridge; it was all his favorite dishes. She changed her dress and lay beside him, turning away. She cried silently. It had been a month since they had shared any moments together. She genuinely missed him and craved his presence.
Aadhya (to herself): "What has happened to Agastya? He was never like this before... Am I doing something wrong?"
Things had changed now. She didn't understand what was happening. Her innocent heart could never think that Agastya would ever do anything wrong to her. Despite her suffering, she didn't tell him anything because she didn't want to burden him with her stupid thoughts. She was too innocent to understand that her husband might be cheating on her.
