Watashi wa sutaaM/n L/n was just your average man to the naked eye. An ordinary job, an ordinary house, an ordinary life. Well, the present him is. What hides behind him is not common for other people. That's what makes him different.
However, as much as he loves being a delinquent, he must settle in the adult world. A grown adult who thinks critically about their future. Cutting off old habits, smoking, drugs, drinking- okay, not drinking. The man still needs to relieve stress. Ain't nothing better than eating good food and top-quality liquor after a long day of breaking his back.
Nevertheless, M/n just wants to be more mature rather than stay like a man who's stuck in the past. so he quit delinquency, got a job, bought a house, and became financially stable. despite all of his achievements;
He still feels lonely.
doing the same things over and over and coming home to his gloomy house. no one to greet him, no one to comfort him.
He had grown tired of it, so he decided to adopt. not a pet but a child. after all, he would like someone who can communicate with him. it may sound dumb and that he should just get a friend to talk to.
but hey, adopting is giving a child a new start in life. while pets count, their life spans are incredibly short. M/n could bet he could outlive the pet.
he searched on the internet for any nearby adoption center. luckily, he found it close to the city. he texted the caretaker to let them know that he would like to adopt a child. they confirmed, and fixed an appointment for the man.
That occurred days ago, and now the day has finally come.
M/n was standing outside the adoption center, fiddling in his spot with a nervous expression decorating his face. he breathes heavily before making his way inside.
