Branch and Poppy One Shot

Guy get's Poppy to admit she loves Branch...

It was a week after showing the bergans true happiness and Queen Poppy was in her room busy scrapbooking having a bit of time to herself. She had saved her friends the snack pack she was happy but realized she couldn't of done it without her best friend Branch who saved her from spiders and led her on the right path they managed to save the snack pack.

But one thing bothered the pink queen after she found out Creek betrayed her and the rest of the trolls they were put in a pot and she lost her color she for a bit she found out what it was like and it scared her then Branch out of nowhere started singing and it surprised her at first but even then she couldn't see hope he took her hand and sang to her bringing back not just her color but his own and he before his color returned he had said he loved her and Poppy heart had skipped a beat after that and then they said it at the same time. She realized she fell for Branch and she did love him but did he mean that he loved her like a lover or was this just a friendly friend love this had her confused.

She had wanted to approach him several times and ask but she was nervous that if she asked he would laugh at her and tell her she was silly and they were just friends but what if she asked him and he over thought it could ruin their friendship. She finally decided to go find her blue love and find out once and for all. She left her room and went outside on her way she saw Guy Diamond singing auto tune.

''Hey Guy Diamond.'' She called.

''Hello your majesty.'' He said bowing.

''You know you don't have to bow Guy.'' She giggled.

''I know but its the right thing to do. So what are you doing out here?'' He asks.

''I'm looking for Branch have you seen him?'' She asked.

''Hmm yeah I saw him this morning he came into the village to buy some grocery.'' The glittery troll said.

''Did he seem happy or sad or anything type of emotion?'' She asked.

''Nah he seemed happy but he has been the pass week helping other trolls with their pod. Why are you asking me?'' He asked raising an eyebrow.

''I was just curious is all.'' She laughed nervously.

''Ok come sit here and tell me what this is all about.'' He said as they sat down.

''Well what I tell you can't tell anyone else.'' She said seriously.

''I will I promise.'' He said.

''Good now remember us singing I love you in the pot well he said it first and I was just wondering if he meant it romantically or Platonically.'' She said.

Guy started laughing so hard he fell over Poppy felt a bit insulted by this. ''Oh P-Poppy are you crazy that is it?'' He said sitting up and took a deep breath.

''Yes why is that so funny.'' She asked worried this is what Branch would do.

''Its no secret Poppy every trolls here knows there is more then friendship between you and Branch just ask any troll they'll tell you.'' He said smiling at her.

''Are you sure what if he rejects me or it ruins our friendship?'' She asked.

''How could he say no with Creek gone its highly likely he'll say yes.'' Guy said.

''Wait what does Creek have to do with this?" She asked curiously.

Guy looked at Poppy with an eyebrow raised. ''You really don't know? You ever wonder why Branch didn't like Creek it was because of your crush on him and Creek knew Branch had feelings for you and teased him about it and rubbed it in his face.''

Poppy felt guilty she should of been aware Creek was bullying Branch but he seemed so perfect. ''Well Poppy I have to get back and help DJ with more music but my guess is Branch is over at the willow tree go ask him find out if he hurts you I will beat him up.'' The glittery troll said hugging Poppy and left.

Poppy went over and saw a figure sitting by a willow tree. She goes over and sees its Branch writing something in a book. He looks up and sees her coming over he smiled widely and stood up they shared a hug.

''Hi Poppy.''

''Hi Branch your looking good.'' She said nervously.

''Thank you your looking very pretty yourself so what can I do for you?'' He asked.

''Well I was wondering something I mean its kind of important to me but it may sound dumb to some trolls.'' She said nervously.

Branch looks at her she was a bit nervous her voice stuttered which is not easy to do for Poppy.

''Well I maybe able to help you but you have to tell me.'' He said as he took her hand patting it letting her know he was there.

''Well only you can help sowhenwewereinthepotandyousaidiloveyoudidyoumeanitromanticallyorplatonically.'' She said very fast.

''Poppy slow down ok I can't understand you. Say it again slowly.'' He said.

''Ok so when we were in the pot in bergan town and you were singing to me I was wondering did you mean it when you sang I love to me? Was it romantic like lovers or platonic like close friends?'' She asked looking him in the eye.

There was a bit of a pause neither saying anything Branch stood there emotionless looking at her. They stared at each other for a couple minutes. Poppy shakes her head and turns to walk away thinking she blew it. Suddenly she felt someone grab her arm was turned around and before she knew his lips were on hers, she was shocked and stared at him his eyes were closed and she felt his soft lips his arm was wrapped her waist holding her close and kissing her soft at first she closed her eyes and kisses back they both applied pressure to each others lips she places her hands on his chest as they kiss and they pull away to breath.

''Does that answer your question my love?" He asked looking at her still holding her in his arms removing hair out of her face.

''Y-yes it does. Oh Branch I love you.'' She said.

''I love you too I mean I looked at you with passion when I sang it.'' He said chuckling.

''I know I meant it I thought you'd laugh at me or its ruin our friendship.'' She said.

''Poppy I love you this wouldn't ruin our friendship I was actually trying to find a way to tell you.'' He said.

Poppy smiled. ''So will you be my boyfriend?" She asked.

''Yes anything to make you happy Poppy. I love you.'' He said.

''Hmm I need more convincing of that.'' She teased.

He chuckled and pulled her into a passionate kiss as they kissed each other.
