Chapter 12

   "Oh my God, we are so sorry for not being able to answer you," Chi says.
"For real, we could have at least checked our phones once for God's sake," Aura tears up.
"Girls girls, I was fine. I was more than fine, actually," I laughed.
"Oh, by the way, girls, I have some tea," Aura says, clapping her hands together. We look at her, waiting for her to tell us. "Daniel caught Ariyah cheating." I knew that already. "She was begging him to forgive her, but he wasn't having it and was walking to leave. His dad was yelling at him, telling him he didn't care what she did. He was still gonna date her. My uncle was yelling at her for her slut behavior. And all she could do was cry like a baby. And get this, the guy she was cheating with was... Ronald!"
We gasp, "The son of the guy who owns the clean supply stores."
"YES!"
"Are you kidding? That's like leaving your hot mafia boss's boyfriend for a gut u met in an ally way," Chi says.
"Exactly," I say.
"And get this, her best excuse was that he was ignoring her at school. One day, he was not feeling himself," Aura says.

   "Right, like how did he end up with somebody like her?" I ask.
"I kinda want to know, too," Chi adds.
"Well, it all started last summer when her dad and his dad joined forces to get more power from the military of Spain. But to not look suspicious, they both introduced Ariyah and Daniel to each other so they could cover up their newfound friendship as just a reason because their kids fell in love," Aura explains, "Plus Ariyah had a growing crush on Daniel."
"Who does," I mutter. They both look at me with a smirk. "What?"
"Nothing," they both say.
"By the way, what's your phone number," I ask, pulling out my phone and surprising them. They look at me shocked.

   "When did you buy the newest iPhone?" Chi is surprised.
"It was a gift from someone I know," I say quickly.
"Well, that's great, so we can all FaceTime," Aura says excitedly.
"Today is gonna be an interesting day considering the power couple is having problems," Chi giggles at the thought of all the drama. Aw yes, today is gonna be a hella dramatic day. At breakfast, Ariyah is following and screaming at Daniel. He tries to ignore him, but it's getting to him.
"Daniel, could you please fucking talk to me? I'm sorry I didn't mean to, but I have a good reason for it, though. Because of this attitude, you're showing me!" She yells. "I don't like that boy! I was just lonely, and it just happened!"

   Daniel slams his fork down, "That's your best excuse? Every fucking day you always have something to be mad about, and the one day I'm off, I'm suddenly in the wrong? How does that work? And I don't care because I can just do the same shit to you." This quiets her. She bursts into tears, begging him not to. Everyone, if the cafeteria is locked in, is listening to all this tea, even the lunch ladies. Well, this is one way to start my morning, and I love it. For the whole day, Daniel was pissed. He didn't even bother talking to me in the library. At my last period, I texted him, "You good?" After a while, he replies with "ig." Bruh, is he gonna start that plain talking with me? I decided it was best to text him when I went home.

   After class, everyone packs and heads for the door to leave school. While I have to search for my brother. I looked in the teacher's lounge, at the library, and even the cafeteria, but he was nowhere to be found. Then I got the idea to go to his class, so I took a long walk around the campus to the class. I was about to knock when I saw Cleo. Yes, Cleopatra, as in one of Mona's followers, getting her back blown off by my brother... I thought he stopped liking teens. This makes so much sense as to why he hasn't been touching me. Cleo was completely naked, bent over a desk, moaning loudly. She seems to be enjoying it. Why would she do this with a teacher? Then I remember a few weeks ago, she was talking about how bad she is at Chemistry, and low-key, it is one of the hardest science classes. So she asked my brother for free grades? Knowing my dumbass brother, he would say yes.

   I hide behind the door and take out my phone. I start recording through the small window on the door.
"Ahhh~" she moans, "faster~"
Oh God, I wanna puke. This is way too far, even for my brother. Sure, he touched me in the past, but he never went this far.
"You'll get an A on this exam," Dave smirks, pulling up his pants. Well, I guess it's time for me to go. I quickly shoved the phone in my pocket and ran back to the entrance of the school to act as if I was waiting for him. He finally comes out and tells me to hurry up. I quickly get up and put my phone in the bag so he won't see it.
"So...what were you up to this afternoon?" I ask nonchalantly.
"Nothing much but just cleaning up my class a little," he growls at me, "now shut the fuck up. Your voice irritated me." You want even cleaning, we both know that.

   When I get home, I head straight to my room. I don't communicate that much with my family. They are all sick in their heads... I wonder if I am too... all the memories of the murder come back. I didn't kill them. I just touched the tree. I sigh and take a long bath. I wish I was born into a better life than this. After completing all my homework, Chi and Aura called. I make sure to lock my doors cause I don't want any one of those nosey people coming in here. At the same time, I was texting Daniel. He was very dry, and that kinda rubbed me the wrong way.
"Wanna see something?😊" he texts me randomly.
"Sure," I reply. He sends a video of me sniffing his boxers. OMG... I froze in place.
"This was odd of you to do, I never knew you rolled that way."
"OMG, I'M SO SORRY!" Fuck fuck fuck fuck.
"Sorry? My little Eve, what are you sorry for? Getting caught or general?" Why is he doing this?
"Can you delete it?"
"Why can't I keep it?"
"Why are you doing this?"
"If you didn't want me to do this, then why did you do that?"
"Oh, that's how you wanna play." I felt bold at that moment and pulled out his USB and started to record me scrolling through it. I sent the video to him.
"You little-"
"Now we are even."
"Ig your right."
"So stop being upset at me and get yourself together and remember who hurt you."
"Ok, but give me back my USB."
"Sure if you delete that video."
"Deal."

   I sighed with relief and plopped down on my bed. I'm tired. I think it's time for bed. I got a lot of stuff to do for the play.
