Tears ran down her face, blending in with the heavy rain that fell on this cold winters' night. Park Jihan didn't know where she was headed, but she didn't really care ─ she just didn't want her arch rival to see her so vulnerable.

The girl could see that she was near Hawon Crossing, the small town centre of the countryside city of Yeongang, where she had lived for her entire life. Usually, it was rather busy, but seeing as it was nearing midnight, Jihan wasn't surprised to see that it was deserted by all living creatures.

Just as she neared the local newspaper shop (now closed for the night) she felt a grip on her left wrist, a grip so strong that she couldn't move. Despite not being able to see her captor, she already knew who it was.
