The rain poured down in torrents, drumming against the rooftop of a tall building overlooking the empty streets of Orario. The city below was a maze of wet, glistening cobblestones and darkened alleys, washed clean by the relentless storm.

From this vantage point, Bell Cranel and Lefiya Viridis had a clear view of the deserted city, the night sky shrouded in heavy clouds.

Bell stood near the edge of the rooftop, his fingers clutching a small, handheld silver round watch. The cold wind whipped through his damp hair, and he pulled his cloak tighter around himself, glancing at the watch face.

"We've been waiting up here for a while," he said, his voice carrying over the sound of the rain.

"You think it'll show up?"

Lefiya stood beside him, her beautiful azure long sword in hand, eyes scanning the city below. "It's hard to say," she replied, her tone calm but tinged with uncertainty.

"The descriptions were vague. A ghostly figure with sharp teeth and pointy fingers... it almost sounds like a legend."

Bell nodded, his gaze distant. "Yeah, but if it's real, and if it really can tear through time, we can't ignore it. A creature like that could cause unimaginable damage." He paused, looking out over the city. "Do you think it's aware of us?"

Lefiya frowned, considering his question.

"If it is, then it's been toying with us. We haven't seen a trace of it, only whispers and rumors. A monster that can appear and disappear at will... it's like chasing a shadow." She glanced at Bell, her expression serious.

"We don't even know what it looks like, only that it's dangerous. If it's as bad as they say, we have to be prepared for anything."

The tension between them was palpable, the weight of their mission hanging heavy in the air. They were hunting something they barely understood, a creature that defied the laws of reality. The rain and the height of the building added to the surreal atmosphere, making the night feel like a dream.

Suddenly, Bell felt a shift in the air. He straightened, eyes narrowing as he peered into the distance. "There," he murmured, pointing. A faint, distorted shimmer had appeared in the air, just above the city's skyline. The rift.

Lefiya followed his gaze, her eyes widening as the rift began to form. The air around it seemed to warp and twist, like a mirage in the desert. "It's happening," she whispered, her voice barely audible. The rift pulsed with an eerie energy, growing more defined with each passing second.

As they watched, a ghostly figure started to emerge from the rift's depths. Its form was faint but unmistakable-sharp teeth, elongated fingers, and an otherworldly glow. The creature floated silently, an ominous presence against the backdrop of the stormy night.

Bell tightened his grip on the watch, feeling the weight of the moment. "We have to stop it," he said, his voice firm. "Before it can do any more damage."

Lefiya nodded, her eyes never leaving the creature. "Together," she agreed, her tone resolute. They stood side by side, the wind and rain swirling around them, ready to face the unknown.

Bell and Lefiya sprang into action as the ghostly figure descended from the rift, its otherworldly glow casting eerie shadows on the rooftops. The storm roared around them, thunder rumbling like an ominous drumroll. They knew that every second counted.

"Let's move!" Bell shouted, his voice barely audible over the wind and rain. He and Lefiya dashed towards the fire escape leading down to the alley below, their footsteps muffled by the relentless downpour.
