Lesson Learned

I'm going to the N109 Zone to meet Sylus I ended up forgetting my broach. On the way to Sylus's the wheel of my motorcycle blows. I park on the roadside of the N109.
I attempted to call Sylus, but he didn't answer, so she tried the twins they didn't pick up either.. when I spoke to Sylus last he said he was almost done with a meeting and would meet me at his place. Hopefully, he will call me back soon.
I was trying to decide if I should walk the rest of the way to Sylus's or stay put and wait for Sylus to call back. I decided to walk around to see if I could find someone that could help me. As I walked around, I walked upon something I wasn't supposed to see in the alley of a group of men.
I analyzed the scene and realized that I needed to get out of there right quick, I turned around and ran back towards the direction of where my motorcycle was left. They immediately chased after me, and began to yell "CATCH HER!!" Two men appeared in front of me out of nowhere, and then the rest of the guys circled me. I stood there, not moving an inch circled by eight men. This happened so quickly what do I do? "This is a misunderstanding I didn't see or hear or anything!" I yelled to them.
I looked around and began to observed every man, already devising a plan to execute when I saw an opportunity, they weren't believing anything I said Of course they wouldn't . I did see them with those protocores that was undeniable. But I can't change that now . I slowly reach for my gun getting ready to defend myself. One of the men noticed me reaching for the gun and said "GRAB HER !" he lunged his body at me, in an attempt to subdue me.
I quickly ducked and punched the first person to the ground then, elbowed the second guy In the stomach. I decided to try to escape out of the opening I made for myself, but one of them managed to grab me, just enough that I lost my balance and fell to the ground, he fell with me grabbing ahold of my leg so I couldn't move. I reacted quickly and kicked him in the face twice making him release my leg. The rest of the men were already approaching very closely prepared to attack me.
I didn't have time to get up and go on the defensive. And I managed to drop my gun in the process of falling. Bracing for the impact I threw my arms up to protect against the blows, suddenly I didn't hear the footsteps running towards me anymore, they stopped moving. And the men started yelling.
I look up and see all the men wrapped up in a very familiar red energy evol.
"Looks like my little kitten forgot her broach, I didn't say wear it just because I like to hear myself talk, it's to protect you."
It's Sylus I couldn't be more relieved, things went so wrong so quickly. "Sylus.. I forgot it.. how did you know..." he looks over to Mephisto on the street light.
Mephisto "CAW"
"It's the leader of Onychinus !!, WAIT we are sorry sir we didn't know she was a person of importance to you. We thought she was a spy she was eavesdropping !!"
"That's irrelevant.." Sylus tightened his evol around them they yelled louder. "Luke, Kieran..."
"Sylus wait! Let them go I'm okay, let's just go.."
"Hm," and smirks a grin. "the benevolent hunter" he drops the men onto the floor. "Leave," he said with a stern voice
He helps me up from the ground. My legs got scrapped up when I fell. He helps me to his car, after I get in I look to the back of Sylus and I see the men running off.
He shuts the car door and begins to speak with Luke and Kieran. I couldn't hear what his saying but I thought I had an idea. I began to shake my head. If I just wore the stupid broach they would've known and none of that would've happened.
He gets in the car and drives us to his place. Sylus hasn't said a word to me for the rest of the ride. When we arrived, he got out of the car and came to the passenger side as I started to open the door. I looked at him,
"Sylus I'm..."The next thing I knew he picked me up. "Sylus Wait I can walk.."He ignored me and continued to carry me inside. He sat me down in the living room and then grabbed some supplies, to tend to my wounds. He finally breaks the awkward silence.
"Luke and Kieran will bring your bike later, also that was a dangerous game you played there Ms. Hunter.." he said as he cleaned my knee.
"Ouch Sylus that hurts dont be so rough ." I snatched my leg back and reacted to the pain of Sylus wrapping the bandage too tight around my knee.
"My bad kitten, I Forgot to be gentle.."
Oh Yeah, he is mad about me forgetting the broach. I remember when he first gave it to me and told me what it was for "It means you can come and go from the N109 Zone as you please." I should've gone back for it...I exhaled and began to explain.
"I was in a rush today, by the time I left and was on the way, I realized I forgot the broach. I thought I could make it straight here with no problems, I wasn't expecting my tire to blow and have a big misunderstanding ."
He grabs my hand, "What are you doing ?!" I asked.
He flips my hand over and begins to treat the wounds on my knuckles. I didn't think he saw that, Sylus is always noticing everything, and reading my mind it's so weird how he can do that.
He finally began to respond after a moment of forever-lasting silence, it was killing me. Even though it was only seconds. "Excuses Ms.Hunter, So what's the lesson we learned today?"I rolled my eyes at his question. He stared directly at me and responded.
" I don't think I have to keep reminding you, how dangerous the N109 Zone is... When I'm not around that broach is your protection. Not some piece of jewelry that I gave you so you can ponder whether if you should or shouldn't wear it. It saves me a trip and a headache, which I'm currently forming."
I caused problems for him "I hear you Sylus, I'm sorry ... and thank you for your help."
He stands up "Wow gratitude from the Hunter, maybe I should start picking you up directly, will I receive more gratitude then?" He moves closer to my face while having a mischievous smile...
I turn my head looking in the other direction flustered I reply quickly "That won't be necessary Sylus.."
He chuckles as he backs up, "Go rest up and wait on dinner, your bike won't be fixed till tomorrow. I have some business to attend I'll be in my office you know where it's at if you need me." He walks toward his office.
I lay down on the couch and started to doze I had a long night. I can't believe that happened I usually blame Sylus for creating problems but this one was on me.
In Sylus's Office
"Luke and Kieran, did you handle my rodent problem?"
Everything is taken care of boss. All eight accounted for.
"Good, wrap up the rest and I'll meet you two at the place"
Sylus then leaves out of his office to check on you. As he walks into the living room he sees you sleep on the couch. He grabs a blanket and covers you up.
"Ms.Hunter what am I going to do with you? .." he runs his finger over her face gently, he then gets up and goes out the door.
An hour later
As I start to wake I'm starting to feel pain immediately. Instantly reminding myself of what occurred earlier. I got up from the couch and headed toward Sylus's office I knocked on the door but there wasn't a response... so I opened it he wasn't there. I walk out and head back towards the living room I see Mephisto I ask him. "Where is Sylus?" As I asked, Sylus walked in the door.
"Hey, Sylus where did you go?" I walked him up to him slowly being careful with my knee.
"Did you miss me? *he chuckled* I had some business to attend to. How are you feeling?"
He loves messing with me "I'm feeling alright I've had worse injuries. Are you still mad at me.."
"Hmm, mad? Is that how you saw me?.."
"Yes, the silence, your face, you got onto me cause I caused problems,... most definitely equals anger, mad."
"*he laughs* more worried than anything Kitten. I'm not always going to be there to bail you out. Your hesitation when dealing with those rodents could've very well been your last."
I looked away and looked down at the ground I knew his right it's just hard to admit. " I just wanted to avoid it altogether if I could, I wanted to at least try to avoid it before making things worse."
"Well if you keep this up you're going to have a personal escort every time you want to come to the N109 zone"
"No that's okay no escort needed you already got Mephisto watching me, I promise I won't forget it again." He pats the top of my head and then goes to the kitchen
Now after all that excitement let's go eat. He said.
After this event, I never forgot my broach again. And still have yet to be attacked like I was before when I came to the N109 zone. I never did figure out where Sylus went that day but I guess it's better I not know.
