~Chapter 12~
--Alice's POV--
Gem came back to the lunch table, but not with Chelsea. Did Chelsea tell her why happened at the police station. No. She couldn't have. All I really know is that it was shocking. Whatever she told her. Really shocking. What have she of said or what did Gem say. I wanted to ask, but that would be rude. Instead I did the same thing that Gem was doing to Niall. I reached for Sam's hand. I don't think I death gripped his hand like Gem did to Niall's hand though.
"What's wrong", Niall asked Gem.
"I need to go", Gem said.
"Go where?", Niall asked.
"Anywhere, but somewhere far away", Gem said.
"Pick anywhere, I'll take you....anywhere", Niall said.
"My perfect place. Somewhere in the forest, where nature is unharmed. Where the birds wake you up, where...where......", Gem said
."Where what?", Niall asked.
Gem sounded so innocent. The way words came out of her mouth. The way she cling'd onto Niall. It made her seem like a pure, harmless baby.
Gem didn't answer Niall's last question. Niall wrapped his arms around Gem. Her head rested on his chest.
Now I think I know what Chelsea told her. Chelsea thinks she can make anyone fall for her, even me. What I did for her at the police station was no sign of love. It was a sign of friendship. She had to make a big deal out of it an think I was in love with her. But I remember her telling me she liked Gem.
This is what she told her, "I love you".
