AN: 21 is a good age to have a child, i'm not tryna discriminate!! He just wasn't prepared at all. Also idk how many years into college 21 is! Constructive criticism is allowed but don't be straight up mean..

Alexander Smith felt a tear fall down his face. It fell upon his baby girls face. Evangeline. His dear daughter. His only child. He wanted to see her smile one last time, but- she was asleep. Sleeping soundly, in a yellow, silk blanket, in his arms.

She wouldn't know her mortal parent. Nor her godly one. Not until.. not until years later. Alex bit back his tears and kissed her forehead for the last time. He kneeled to the cold, snowy ground.

Immigrating from Greece to America, Alex hadn't been to college, nor would he get to. He could barely afford living at this point.. He was only 21 and with a child. He hadn't planned for this, but her charming and beautiful face, her gentle touch.. (guys idk if this is realistic.)

It reeled him in.

He set down the baby infront of the orphanage door, the baby that one day would do the things he dreamed of doing.

2 months ago had been Yves 12th birthday- A rather small occasion to her. "Yves~ what's your wish?" She sighed, closed her eyes and didn't wish for anything. her shoulders slumped and she bit back tears. Though she hadn't made a wish, deep down inside she dreamed just to know who her dad and mother were. Why? Why didn't you want me? she thought.

Being diagnosed with ADHD and dyslexia (she was extremely lucky to be diagnosed at 7!)  at an early age made things hard for Yves to understand- she'd been described as a troublemaker, charming, or, her personal favorite, 'manipulative like a siren or something. Or was it mermaids?' She was stand offish and salty at times, while patient and calm at others. Though, she had always been an empath, with inexplicable strength. (Aphrodite was also a war goddess, and due to her being the mc she does have to be strong)

The 6th grade valentine's day dance was coming up. Of course, she was getting notes from boys like crazy! This happened always for some reason- even though she wasn't popular, but her looks were definitely above average.. So this was how her friday at Springfield Smarts Prep went:

-

"Boys and girls! Calm down! Get back to your seats! i know your excited to exchange valentines, but before you do, you must be quiet!" Mrs. Mopen shouted. The ruckus the class was making continued- girls huddled around eachothers desks, whispering and giggling- Yves presumed they were talking about the dance. She sat alone at her desk, checking off the "no" box on letters, though she was usually apart of that huddle, and she was quite popular, having high social abilities, she was busy today.

As much as she wished "Mr Right" would come along, she never felt that for a boy. She did have one friend, Juno. They would laugh for hours, though sometimes it even felt like he was the same as all those "regular" boys who only wanted to hold her hand for a night.

"Yves! Um.. here's a note.." A random boy said, interrupting her thoughts. She dropped her pen, looked at him with dead eyes, saying, "Thanks. I guess." She took it quickly, checking off the no box and handing it back to him. She flipped him off with a fake smile before he left with an offended look. "Whatever! You're ugly anyway!"She almost laughed, she knew, for one, she was not ugly. That she had confidence in. She could tell, on the inside, he was heartbroken, and salty.

She only had to be grateful her looks and probably unearned, natural popularity won her a place in the "currently not being bullied" world! And even though her bestfriend, Juno, got bullied, she always stood up for him.

he walked over- though it sounded like hooves clopping. "Evie! Who was that?" he pulled an empty chair, sitting by her. "Eh, just another stupid letter. I don't really care. They are dumb anyway." She looked out the window- "Juno, do you see that?" - "Ev-" she flicked his forehead, "Ow! What are you?-" She hated when he acted like this. "Ugh, do you not see it? i hate when you pretend to not see the.. The flying horses.." Now that she said it, it sounded a thousand times stupid.

She sighed. "Don't mind my," she swirled her fingers around her head, "Crazy." Juno laughed nervously. One of the most popular boys, Landon, eyed Juno and her. "Yves..." Landon came stomping across the room, leaving his girlfriend with his friends. "Evangeline. Hello!" He said in a gruff voice. No one ever called her that.. Juno looked worried.

"Come on, come talk with me in the hall." Landon said , aggressively without giving her a choice. He grabbed her arm. "Uh-" she exclaimed, worried for her own safety. The teacher didn't seem to notice as he slammed the door behind her.

She could tell this was no dance invitation. He radiated angry and violent emotions. She was honestly scared, to be honest. His letterman jacket burst into flames and he seemed to- to expand? into.. a monster.. Her breathing became fast, and she wanted to scream. Juno came busting in through the door- "Juno! Can you explain this?!" she shouted. "Focus on him! Not me!" he exclaimed. "Haha! Pretty girl! Taste like roses?" TASTE?! She thought.

She listened to juno, as the monster tried to slash at her. She backed up, looking deep into his eyes, past his firey soul, seemingly burning her own to a crisp. She smiled at him nicely, and her voice seemed to have a mind of its own, sparkly, misty magic flowing out of it. Her whole body calmed, as she spoke, "Do you really want to hurt this pretty face?" It almost came to her naturally. "Come on, look at me." Her hair had fallen prettily out of a hair tie, releasing brown, loose curls, with rosey pink highlights she got for her 10th birthday and had continued to dye. Deep, hazelly eyes looked at this monster with a charming sparkle. She had done this.. by will? Her will? But as soon as she lost that confidence, her hair was immediately back into that low pony, (Sorry guys if she's OP i just am that person who always has that one OP oc that everyone is annoyed by)

And the monster seemed in a trance. "Where go? Tell me, pretty." he said mindlessly. "Take advantage of this!" Juno shouted from the doorway. "Yeah." she shrugged. "Kill yourself?" she questioned. The monster, "landon", started to punch himself in the face over and over again, until the blood was just too much, trickling down, until he eventually died. But what confused Yves was that he just... Evaporated.
