He pressed a kiss onto the top of my head before gently nuzzling his face into my hair. "And don't cry, baby. I hate it when you cry... I'm just trying to explain to you that there is not a damn thing in the world you could do that would drive me away from you," he said quietly against my hair.

"I can't help it, it's the hormones," I said quietly.

He chuckled lightly and a small smirk appeared on his face when I mentioned that it was my hormones. He knew hormones were making me more emotional than usual. He chuckled and nodded as he continued to hold me. "I know, love. The hormones can't be fun, especially when they make you so damn emotional," he said gently.

The moment the door opened and Lionel walked into the room, Reign gently sighed and sat up in the bed as he looked over at the little boy who had entered the room. "Hey buddy, what are you doing up?" he asked gently as he looked at his son.

Lionel was in tears from a nightmare "Come here baby," I said to him gently as he climbed onto the bed.

Watching Lionel slowly come over to the bed, with tears streaming down his little face, made Reign's heart hurt. Knowing his little boy had just had a nightmare. Reign watched as Lionel climbed onto the bed and into my arms, as I said for him to come over. He gently scooted himself closer so he was sitting right beside the both of us.

He gently put a hand on the back of his son's head and leaned over to press a gentle kiss to the top of his head. "Hey, you're okay, buddy. I'm right here, your mama is right here. You're fine," he mumbled comfortingly to his little boy.

I looked over at Reign "Can you check if Levi is okay?" I asked gently.

He nodded at my question and gently removed his hand from the top of Lionel's head. "Yeah love, I'll go check on him," he said gently. Reign moved to get out of bed so he could go check on our other son before turning back to me and Lionel for a moment. "You two will be okay until I come back, yeah? I'll be right back, I swear," he said gently.

He gave me a small smile before turning away from the bed and heading over to the bedroom door to leave the room. He left the room and took a quick trip down the hallway to Levi's room. He quietly opened the door to Levi's bedroom and entered with as little noise as he could. He slowly and quietly walked over to the bed in the darkroom to check on his second son.

He walked over to the bed and looked down to see Levi. To his relief, he saw that the little boy was sound asleep, unphased by whatever happened with Lionel. He smiled gently and gave a small sigh of relief before going to turn around to head back to the bedroom where me and Lionel were.

He slowly crept out of the room and as quietly as he could, closed the door behind him once he exited. He sighed and turned around and started walking slowly back down the hallway to the bedroom door. He gently opened the door and entered the bedroom again, quietly closing the door behind him as he entered.

Lionel had his head on the bump as I rubbed his back to soothe him "He's asking for milk but he's too old for a bottle," I said quietly to Reign.

He furrowed his brow slightly as he walked over to the bed and sat back down on the edge of the bed. He looked over at Lionel for a moment with the little boy's head resting against my abdomen, while his back was still being rubbed by me for comfort.

He looked at Lionel's face and could practically see the sadness and pain on his little face from the nightmare. His heart broke a little for his little boy and he moved his hand up onto the top of Lionel's head. "Buddy, I know you want some milk to calm down but you're too old for a bottle now. Would you be okay with me getting you some sippy cup?" he said to Lionel gently.

He nodded when Lionel nodded that he would be okay with just having a sippy cup of milk. He looked down at the little boy's hand on my belly and a small smile appeared on his face as he saw him continuing to place his hand there. Reign gently gave my shoulder a small squeeze before scooting himself off the bed. "Okay buddy, stay here with mama. I'm going to go get your milk," he said to Lionel.

"Be quiet not to wake up Levi, he is a little grump," I joked.

He chuckled lightly at my joke about Levi being a grump, which was 100% true. The little boy could be grumpy with even the smallest inconveniences. He smiled at me and shook his head. "Don't have to tell me twice, love. The last thing we need is grumpy little Levi to be woken up by me and start crying too. I'll be back as quietly as I can," he joked back.

He gently patted Lionel's back, gave Lionel's hair a quick brush through with his fingers, and then turned away to head to the door. He looked back at me and Lionel once more before quietly exiting the bedroom.

He softly and quietly shut the bedroom door, he then turned around and started to walk down the hallway towards the kitchen. He kept his steps as quiet as he could as he walked, not wanting to wake up his younger son who was sleeping soundly.

He reached the kitchen after a minute and walked into the room. He crossed the kitchen went over to a lower cabinet and knelt to grab a medium-sized sippy cup from one of the lower cabinets.
