❝my dawg❞
(real life, social media...)

WHITE LIGHT FROM THE moon casts through jess' window. he's currently sleeping on a raft that's on the verge of popping. he's guessing luke had about zero time to prepare for his arrival. but that's liz for you. she will dump the heaviest things on you without any warning or time.
she also can't commit for shit. she's had like.. what? three or four husbands? anyway he should probably stop dissing his mom.
jess sits up and rubs his sleepy eyes and sighs. he brings his legs to his chest and wraps his arm around them, but then changes his mind and gets out of his "bed."
he switches out his shirt, now wearing this weird looking 'metallica' shirt, and slides on baggy blue jeans. he combs his hair in the mirror but he has no gel left so there's no point in making it look nice.
jess slides on sneakers and heads for the door. he hears grumbling from behind him, making jess rolls his eyes when he hears luke's voice.
"where do you think you're going?" luke asks in a groggy voice.
jess turns around and licks his lips before responding. "out." he replies simply.
his uncle stands up and walks over to him. jess almost cringes at the guy's hairline. he has got to get that fixed.
"the diner hasn't even opened yet. so you're not going anywhere." luke orders. he crosses his arms.
jess nods at the floor and shifts his weight on his feet. "i'm going to meet a friend." jess defends, which is an almost lie.
luke raises his eyebrows, "you have friends?" he asks. jess is almost offended by how surprised he sounded.
jess nods, "yeah i do. we were going to meet up to see this shooting star." he fibs.
his uncle sighs and turns around, saying nothing but just plops back down on his bed and instantly starts snoring. jess huffs a laugh and walks out the door.
"what the hell could you possibly want for you to be at my house at 4 fucking am?"
jess sighs, "sorry, i just didn't know where else to go." he defended with a shrug. he shifts his weight on his feet with his hands in his pockets. it's still dark out and the only things illuminating the night is a small porch light and the full moon.
mason steps aside to let jess inside. "you're lucky my parents are out of town." he says. he grumbles as he walks and rubs his eyes. mason plops down on his couch. they sit in silence for a few seconds. "well you obviously came here for something." he interrogates, annoyed as he throws his arms up.
jess leans his head back, his arms wrapping around the back of the couch. "i need advice." he stated, almost embarrassed to ask this. he runs a hand through his messy jet black hair.
