Chapter 8: Guilt and an Unexpected Surprise

Steff's P.O.V

"Where's Zylan my dear sis?" Elise asked.

"He did not attend school today." That bastard! I was planning to say sorry today.

"Why? Did something happen? I smell something fishy sis!" - Elise

"It's because he slept on my table with me and his face is so close! Kiddo-bug saw it! He might misunderstand! And he freaking kissed my hand!" -Steff

"Really?!! Finally my prayer has been granted! ＼(≧▽≦)／" - Elise

"What are you talking about sis?" I said with an angry face.

"Don't tell me, It's an unrequited love?! You love sir Nathan? What about Zylan?!"

"*sighs* It's no use talking to you. Me in love with kiddo-bug? I'D RATHER DIE!!"

"Oh right you hate him, but the more you hate the more you love!"

"YOU are giving me a HEADACHE, Elise."

"Well, I don't think it's a big deal though. So what if sir Nathan saw the two of you sleeping? And It's just a kiss in the hand! Besides, you can't do anything about it anymore 'cause it already happened." I hate to say this, but she's right.

The next day, Zylan did not come to school again. It's already Sunday, I hope he's going to school tomorrow. It's not like his absence is killing me okay? It's my conscience.

"Excuse me!" I can't get through! I want to go home already! That Zylan bastard did not attend school again today. What's with this crowd? Is there an event or a celebrity here? Arghh! I finally got through! 

Uh? Can somebody explain---

Why is everyone staring at me with smiles on their faces? What the hell is their problem? I was about to walk away when the people started to block my way. What the fudge is happening?!

I got surprised when each one of them is giving me stuff toys.

"I'm in a hurry. I'm not going to buy one." I told them.

"It's for free." For free? Then why are they only giving it to me? Is this a trap? I looked at the stuff toys. Bears, bunnies and anime characters? It's my favorite stuffs!

This doesn't look like a trap. I want to know what is happening and why. They continued giving me stuff toys. So, what do I do now?

"Steffie!" Elise said the moment the people around me stopped handing me stuff toys.

"What's with these things? Are you the one who planned all of these? Did you do something bad to me again? Or did you steal my chocolates again?" I said while glaring at her.
