Third-Person's POV:
A couple of days later...
"Hey, Sasuke, what should I do with these groceries? I can't hold them forever, y'know," Naruto said, struggling with his handful of groceries.
"Oh, sorry, Naruto. After you moved in with me, I've been trying my best to keep everything in place and clean. Here, let me grab that," Sasuke replied, walking over to take the groceries from Naruto's hands.
Naruto's POV:
Since living with Sasuke, he's been very... clingy. It's not that I mind the attention; it's just that he wants everything to be perfect for me, almost like I'm pregnant or something. It frustrates me. Sometimes, I just want to tell him to let me help out too.
"Naruto, is everything okay?" Sasuke asked, looking into my eyes.
"Well, I noticed the dishes were dirty and wanted to clean them—" I began, but Sasuke cut me off, rushing to the kitchen.
"Huh? There are no dirty dishes," he said, looking confused.
"THAT'S MY POINT! You don't let me clean around the house, you don't let me go shopping by myself, and you don't even let me cook!" I shouted in frustration, storming out the front door.
Ugh! He makes me so mad! I just want to help out too! I'm a capable person, not someone who needs constant pampering. I decided to walk to Sai's house to clear my mind. It's been a while since I talked to him.
At Sai's house...
Knock knock.
"Sai! Are you home?" I called out, peering through the windows, but it was empty inside.
"Where in the world did Emo Boi 2 go?" I muttered.
The door opened, and there stood Sai, with sleepy eyes and a flushed face. Wait... does Sai have a fever?
"Oh my god, Sai! You look terrible!" I exclaimed, rushing into the house and guiding him to his bedroom. "Stay here, I'll make you some soup. Try to rest and don't get out of bed without shoes on."
Seeing Sai like this, I felt useful. I could take care of him and clean around his house, something I hadn't been able to do at home.
Sasuke's POV:
When Naruto stormed out, I started to think maybe he was right. Instead of worrying so much, I should let him do what he wants. I need to apologize, but I don't know where he went. Hopefully, he comes back home. If he doesn't, I'll understand. I shouldn't think like that. I just need to wait for him.
Later...
It's been four hours. He really isn't coming back, is he? It's already 12:38 a.m. I should just go to sleep and maybe he'll be home in the morning or afternoon... oh, a message from him.?
Naruto: Hey teme, I'm at Sai's place. I went to visit but he has a fever. Could you pick me up?
Sasuke: Oh sure... Naruto, I'm really sorry for not letting you do the things you wanted. I'm sorry, love. Please forgive me.
Naruto: I forgive you, Sasuke. I'll see you soon! Oh, Sai's fever is going down. Could we check up on him tomorrow in the afternoon?
Sasuke: Yes, we can. Anything for you. I'm almost there, it shouldn't take me long.
A few minutes later...
Naruto: Sasuke? Where are you? It's getting cold and I already locked myself out of Sai's place...
Naruto: Come on, Sasuke. If you want me to forgive you, then answer me right now!
Naruto's POV:
Sasuke hasn't been answering me. Maybe I should just walk home... and that's when I saw a car crash. Wait. That's Sasuke's car! I ran to his car and found him bleeding, shards of glass cutting his skin, and he was unconscious. Please no, Sasuke.
"Sasuke! Please hold on! Stay with me! Sasuke, wake up!"
I fumbled with my phone, hands shaking uncontrollably as I dialed 911. The operator's calm voice felt distant, almost surreal, as I tried to explain the situation. I could barely form coherent sentences, my emotions getting the better of me.
"Please, hurry!" I pleaded with the operator, tears streaming down my face. "It's Sasuke. He's hurt badly. Please, just come quickly!"
As I waited, I knelt beside Sasuke, cradling his head in my lap. I could see his chest rising and falling weakly, but he was unconscious. My heart ached with every shallow breath he took. I leaned in closer, my voice breaking with desperation.
"Sasuke, please don't leave me," I whispered, my tears falling onto his face. "I'm so sorry for leaving the house and for being angry. I didn't mean it. Just please, don't leave me like my parents did. I can't lose you too..."
I clung to him, my sobs mingling with the distant wail of sirens growing louder. The paramedics arrived, quickly assessing the scene and working to stabilize Sasuke. I watched helplessly, my pleas echoing in my mind as they carefully loaded him into the ambulance.
As the doors closed, I followed behind, my heart pounding with fear and regret. I stayed by his side, whispering words of love and apology, hoping he could hear me. The uncertainty of the night seemed endless, but I vowed to be there for him, no matter what.
I paced back and forth in front of the surgery room door, my mind swirling with guilt and fear. Every minute felt like an eternity as I watched the sterile white walls and the relentless hum of fluorescent lights overhead. My heart pounded in my chest, each beat heavy with dread. I couldn't shake the image of Sasuke's bloodied car from my mind.
"If I had stayed home, none of this would have happened," I muttered to myself, guilt gnawing at my insides. "If I had just told Sasuke how I felt instead of running away, maybe this wouldn't have happened. If he dies... it's all my fault."
My steps grew more erratic, driven by the anguish of uncertainty. I replayed every moment of our argument, wishing I could go back and fix it. The weight of my emotions was almost too much to bear. I leaned against the cold wall, the chill seeping through my clothes, and closed my eyes, trying to hold back the tears.
Each passing second felt like a lifetime, and the fear of losing Sasuke overwhelmed me. I knew I had to stay strong for him, but the crushing guilt made it hard to breathe. I clung to the hope that he would come out of surgery okay, but the nagging thought that it was my fault kept echoing in my mind.
"Naruto?"
I got up and headed to the doctor.
"Please... is he okay? Is he alive..?"
"Yes he is alive, he's awake now and is asking for you but told him he needs to recover but said that he won't until he see you so please, come inside and tell him to rest."
I nod and headed inside to see Sasuke, he was pale and cover in scratches.
"Sasuke... I'm sorry. If I had just stayed in the house this wouldn't have happened, it's my fault. I'm sorry..." I said as I lay my hand on his arms and just wish that I could've gone back in time.
