The group of boys split into two teams. Group One consisted of Niki, Heeseung, Sunghoon, Jay, Geonu, and Daniel. Their task was to barricade the doors and hallway windows to ensure nothing could get in or out.

Group Two, composed of Jake, Sunoo, Jungwon, Taki, and Seon, focused on finding as many phones as possible to reach out for help.

As Group Two gathered in a central location with their collection of phones, Jake looked up from his device, frustration clear on his face. "Guys, we've found a bunch of phones, but none of the calls to the police are going through," he said.

Sunoo frowned, taking one of the phones and trying a few numbers himself. "It's the same for me. It seems like all the lines are down or blocked."

Jungwon, scanning through the devices, suggested, "Maybe we can try texting or using social media to get a message out. Someone might see it and send help our way."

Taki nodded. "That's a good idea. Let's try every method we can think of. We can't give up on reaching out."

Seon, determined, started typing out a message on his phone. "I'll send out a message on every platform I have. Hopefully, someone will see it and alert the authorities."

While Group Two continued their efforts, Group One was hard at work fortifying the building. Heeseung and Niki pushed a heavy cabinet against the main entrance while Sunghoon and Geonu secured the windows with whatever they could find.

"How are we doing over there?" Heeseung called out to Jay and Daniel, who were working on the side entrances.

"We've got this area covered," Jay replied, wiping sweat from his brow. "But we should keep checking for any weak spots."

Daniel nodded in agreement. "Let's make sure everything is as secure as possible. We don't want any surprises."

"Hey, Seon, are you okay?" Taki asked, noticing the pallor on Seon's face.

"Yeah, I'm fine. Why?" Seon responded, a bit too quickly.

"You just look off," Taki said, his concern growing.

"I said I'm fine," Seon insisted, but just then, blood started trickling from his nose.

"Seon, were you bitten?" Jungwon asked, his voice tinged with worry.

"No, I wasn't," Seon replied, his tone defensive.

"Seon, tell the damn truth. Were you bitten?" Sunghoon demanded, his eyes narrowing. Pulling jake behind him, his friends following.

"I FUCKING WASN'T!" Seon shouted, but his agitation only made the group more suspicious.

"What's that on your arm?" Jake pointed out, noticing a dark mark.

"It's just a bruise," Seon said, but his eyes were turning bloodshot.

"Seon, please," Geonu pleaded, stepping closer. "Were you bitten?"

Seon's face crumpled with guilt and fear. "I'm sorry," he whispered before collapsing to the ground. His body convulsed, and within moments, he began to transform into a zombie.

"Fuck," Sunghoon muttered, grabbing Heeseung, Jay, and Niki to fetch their makeshift weapons.

"Seon..." Daniel said, drawing the attention of the zombified Seon. Seon lunged at him, but Heeseung managed to strike him away just in time.

Everyone scattered, trying to avoid their zombified friend.

Seon, moving with inhuman speed, ran toward Taki. He tackled him to the ground and bit him.

"TAKI, NO!" Geonu yelled, but his cry only made Seon turn and charge at him. This time, Sunghoon swung his weapon, hitting Seon away.

"Hoon, do something, please," Jake pleaded, standing protectively behind Sunghoon.

Thinking quickly, Sunghoon ran to a window and started making loud noises, trying to draw Seon's attention. As Seon charged, Sunghoon sidestepped, and Seon tumbled out the window, crashing to the ground outside.

But the immediate danger hadn't passed. Taki was on the floor, clutching his neck as blood gushed out. "I-I don't wanna die," he said, his voice trembling.

"It's okay, Ki, you'll be okay," Geonu said, tears streaming down his face as he hugged his best friend one last time.

"Run, please," Taki urged, his body beginning to convulse.

Heeseung and Jay quickly dismantled part of the barricade, creating a gap large enough for everyone to squeeze through into the hallway.

"Let's go," Jay said urgently, herding everyone out as quickly as possible.

The group hurried into the hallway, their hearts heavy with the loss of two friends. They knew they couldn't afford to stop now. They needed to find a safe place and regroup.

"Where do we go?" Daniel asked, his voice shaking.

"Just find the next empty room. There are still zombies in this hall," Jake urged, glancing nervously around.

Before they could make a move, the sound of shuffling feet and guttural groans grew louder. Zombies appeared from all directions, closing in on them.

"Shit, they're everywhere!" Niki shouted, gripping his makeshift weapon tighter.

"This way!" Sunoo called, spotting a door to an empty classroom. He pushed it open, and everyone hurried inside.

"Block the door!" Heeseung yelled. They quickly pushed desks and chairs against the door, creating a temporary barricade.

The pounding on the door began almost immediately, the zombies outside relentless in their pursuit.

"That won't hold them for long," Sunghoon said, breathing heavily. "We need another plan."

"Check the windows," Jay suggested. "Maybe we can escape through there."

Daniel rushed to the windows, but they were barred. "No luck. We're trapped."

"We have to fight our way out," Sunoo said, determination in his eyes. "We can't stay here and wait to die."

"I have an idea," Jake said, his eyes lighting up with determination. "We barricade the door again, and once the zombies die down from hitting it, we can try to grab the fire hose from the hallway. We can use it to make a ladder down to the next floor."

"That might work," Sunoo replied, nodding. "It's risky, but we don't have many options."

"Let's move quickly," Heeseung urged. "The noise will attract more zombies if we take too long."
