You sighed staring out the airplane window. His words playing on repeat in the back of your mind. The man you've loved for years telling you long distance isn't something he can do.

You got a job offer from your company in San Francisco 6 hours away from your long term boyfriend. You had to go for the onboarding process for two days and right before you left he decided to pick a fight. He had tried calling you since you landed but you've ignored him. Now you're on your way home.

2 days earlier on the way to the airport.

"Do you really have to take this job?" He said not looking away from the road

"Tim I will be making double my salary and I'd probably get demoted if I didn't take it."

He just nodded which pissed you off. "What!" You said snappy

"Long distance never works."

You rolled your eyes "it's 5 hours. Clearly you don't love me like I thought"

He put the car in park as you got to the airport "what do you mean?"

You scoffed "You're willing to end a 4 year relationship over a 5 hour travel?" You could see his expression and the anger took over so before he could respond you said "I shouldn't be surprised. We've known eachother for 8 years and been together for almost 5 and you still won't marry me"

You opened the door and he looked at you shocked "Y/N!" He yelled as you shut the door and went to catch your plane.

You landed and turned your phone on. You had the whole time to think about everything so you decided to read his text after 2 days.

Look Y/N I'm not saying that I don't want to be with you. I was just asking if you had to take that job.

Did you land yet? I'll be here to pick you up. I do have a ring by the way. So you saying I don't want to marry you is so far from the truth.

You gasped at that last text and responded "We just landed. Are you here?" And he responded "Yes where I normally park"

You walked out and to his normal spot and saw him leaning against his truck with a soft smile. You knew he was nervous since how you left things so you softly hugged him and you could feel him collapse into you.

"I missed you" he said softly kissing your cheek. "Don't leave me please I'll do anything" he said pulling away softly looking into your eyes.

You leaned up and kissed his lips. "Come with me" you said getting into the truck. He got in and looked at you "Like move with you?" You nodded "we could buy a house up there and you could easily transfer up there and we'll have more money"

He looked at you as he pulled off "I thought you didn't want to get a house until you were married" you shot him a look "Well you said you had a ring."

His heart started pounding "I do but-" you cut him off "Tim I don't need a fancy proposal I just need to know that you love me and you'll follow me anywhere."

He quickly pointed to the glove box. "Glove box purple velvet box" your mouth dropped as you grabbed it "you were serious! I was just pressing your bluff"

"Wait so are you saying no?" He said frantically and you giggled opening the box and sliding it onto your finger "I'm saying yes you goof. I will marry you if you come to San Francisco with me"

Tim smiled and grabbed your hand softly "Yes I will come with you"
