She had found a small apartment in another city, far away from the suffocating atmosphere of their current place. It was a place where she hoped she could start anew, leaving behind the echoes of a love that had never truly had a chance to grow. The hectic wedding preparations has swallowed up every moment of his life. Amid the chaos of his wedding he forgets to do one crucial thing: to lock his room door.
His sister, in her search for a misplaced item, pushes open the door. Her eyes widen in surprise and confusion as she sees sitting on her brother bed in casual clothes.
"Who are you? What are you doing here?" she asks, her voice filled with confusion and a hint of suspicion.
Caught off guard, she freezes, her heart pounding in her chest. She struggles to find the right words, her mind racing through a thousand excuses. She knows she can’t simply say she’s a guest; her clothes telling a completely different story.
“I... I am, no I I please,” she stammer, the words barely escaping her lips not knowing what to say,
Before she could say more, the sound of hurried footsteps approached. He burst into the room, his face a mask of alarm. Seeing the door open and the tense exchange, his heart pounded with a mix of panic and fear. His heart is racing, not just from the fear of being caught but from the desperate need to protect her.
He slams the door shut behind him, his eyes locking with his sister’s in a plea for understanding.
“Who is she?” his sister demands, her voice rising with panic. “Why is she in your room? Answer me, you dimwit".
“Calm down,” he says, his voice scared and panicked “Let me explain.”His sister’s eyes roam between them, confusion and anger mingling in her expression.
“Explain what? Who is she, and why is she here?”
He takes a deep breath, trying to steady his nerves. “She’s in danger,” he says, his voice trembling slightly. “She had no choice but to stay here for her safety. I know it looks bad, but I promise, she’s not here for any other reason.”
