"Last night was a mistake!"

"No it wasn't, I felt something... And I know you did too!"

"You're wrong. I was just confused and horny."

The woman gasped, and sounded like she was about to walk out of the room.

"If you don't tell Laura, then I will. She has a right to know."

"I'll tell her, just keep your mouth shut."

To my surprise, I saw Alisson Werner walk out of my parent's bedroom. She looked aggravated, and thankfully didn't notice me hiding in the bathroom where I could hear everything perfectly. It was obvious that my father and Alisson were having an affair.

After Alisson was out of sight, I barged into my father's room, landing my hands on my hips, giving my dad a serious face.

"What the fuck, dad!" I yelled at him.

Dad jumped, and turned around, looking at me with a surprised and pleading look.

"Samantha Carter! Watch your language!"

"I don't have to watch anything. But as for you... You have to watch your filthy hands. What the hell is wrong with you? How could you cheat on mom! She loves you, and you just fuck her closest friend! Are you out of your fucking mind?!"

"Sam, please. Listen to me-"

I cut him off, giving him a scowl.

"To hell with you! I'm not listening to a single word that comes out of your nasty mouth."

"It was only one time. I promise I'll tell your mother the soonest time I can. Just please keep quiet about this whole thing. At least until I can sort everything out."

"Are you fucking kidding me? I'm telling mom right now!" I started for the door, but he grabbed my arm, forcing me to look in his face.

"You can't do that. Our entire marriage will be ruined with the way that you tell her."

"I don't give a shit. You deserve it after what you did."

I yanked myself away from his grip and ran down the stairs. When I reached the living room, Alisson was already talking to my mother about something that didn't sound too important.

"You fucking slut!" I yelled across the room, narrowing my eyes on the woman that is very shortly going to tear this family apart.

"Samantha!" My mother gasped and looked at me with wide, shocked eyes. "What do you thin you're doing?!"

I ignored my mom and stalked towards Alisson, who was now standing up, looking confused and scared.

"Who the hell do you think you are! Sleeping around with a married man that just so happens to be your best friends fucking husband! Are you completely out of your tiny little mind?!"

She looked shocked and worried, staring at me with wide eyes like she couldn't believe what I had just said.

My mom on the other hand, had her jaw down to the ground, staring at Alisson, with a hurt expression.

"Alisson, is that true? Did you... did you sleep with Keith?"

"It wasn't like that... We were drunk and confused... It was just one time. I would never do anything to hurt you. You know that, don't you?"

"I don't know what to believe anymore."

Mom's attention was in the distance... looking at nothing.

"Laura, Alisson's right. It didn't mean anything." My dad entered the room, slowing walking towards my mother.

She took a step back, looking back at my dad with piercing blue eyes.

"You stay away from me. You're nothing but a lying, cheating bastard." Mom said coldly, looking at his face with disgust.

I couldn't take it anymore. I ran out of the living room to the front door. On my way out, I caught a glimpse of Andrew. He ran out after me, calling my name. Once outside, he grabbed my arm and whipped me around so I was facing him.

"Are you okay?" His face was drowning in concern and tenderness.

"Yeah, peachy." I replied sarcastically.

I could feel tears swelling up in my eyes and I tried my best to hide them, which did not work at all. Andrew pulled me into his embrace and held me with my head on his chest. He was stroking my hair, trying to calm me down.

"Hey, let's get out of here." He spoke so softly, it almost made me melt.

"You have no idea how perfect of an idea that sounds."

I wiped my eyes and walked over to my car. I got in, as did Andrew.

"I know the perfect place." I said, feeling an automatic smile creep up on my face.

I was never a very serious person. Even in the worst times I could always lighten up the mood. That has always been a great thing about me.

I ran a hand through my hair and looked in the rear view mirror to mix my lip gloss.

"It amazes me that you still have the ability to look incredibly sexy even with all that's going on. If I were you, I would look like shit right now." He said, watching me with awe.

"Oh, hunny. You couldn't look like shit even if you tried." I said with a wink.

And with that, I took off in the direction of the beach.
