chapter no. 004!
AS A DEMIGOD, ONE TENDS TO HATE THE WORLD TO AN EXTENT. All moments of their days are spent trying to survive. In the case of Perseus Jackson every mythological creature has a need of attacking him, including the gods and fates.
The fates are magical old ladies who have the ability to overlook who lives or not. They tend to show warning signs of that by snipping yarn, the harness being a metaphor for a lifeline. Lately, those fates enjoy to see teenage demigods fighting to live an endless battle of war.
Once everyone was standing or seated around the inconvenient meeting table, Hecate was able to adjust herself. The goddess stood before each and every demigod with a look of sorrow in her eyes.
"Unfortunately, this quest requires much more than four half bloods. No, this specific task requires many demigods. Those demigods will be chosen from you counselors. So unless you're willing to sell yourself out there, I suggest you leave.." many counselors left. Some were unwilling before they took in the pros and cons of being in a quest.
"Quick, twist my ankle, please, Leo. This way I won't go," Connor Stoll was quick to plea. Some of the counselors stayed were old prophecy members Piper Mclean and Leo Valdez. The curly headed boy shook his head in disbelief and was about to do it.
"Leo, don't you even think about it," Annabeth glared. Leo, for once, listened to the blonde and saluted. Percy grinned and patted the latino's head.
"Dam you, Annabeth. I could've lived! I swear on Hera that if I die, my grave will say it was all your fault," Connor promised. Travis scolded him for acting childish. Connor was 15 years old.
"Enough, we mustn't waste our time," Hecate cleared her throat. She waved her arm, as gods usually do, and there appeared a red leather book. The gold words embroidered into the front were 'Hogwarts Historical Secrets.' "Rachel, your prophecy."
"I don't think it's gonna help what your doing but, sure," Rachel hummed. She unwrapped the crumpled paper and began reading, "four boys, thick as thieves. Would escape reality, through a door. Leaving behind everything, would help them succeed. No more secrets they hid, each boy appearing on a new shore. Coming forth as one. Leaving home, they won."
"That is..a very interesting prophecy," Annabeth mumbled, "it's different.."
"Yes, because it wasn't created in Greece or Rome. It was created in Italy," Hecate smiled softly. She opened the large book where a page was painted in greys and blues. "The prochecy was formed by a man named Merlin, a wizard."
Percy Jackson snorted in response, "wizards, oddly isn't as weird as I'd thought it'd be.."
"Right... continuing, sadly we've come to the conclusion it will be on you four" Chiron frowned. He turned the page of the book and onto a painting, of two thieving brunette boys and two raven haired men.
"Correct. Now, we haven't gotten much time to explain it. I need to assess you correctly, but to put it short," Hecate frowned. She nibbled her bottom lip and sighed, "I have a, pet project labeled the wizard economy. It's a bunch of children learning to do magic with wands, do not fret, it'll be explained soon. However, it seems that that world cannot keep itself together without assistance. So, I took it upon myself to inlist a group of demigods to help them due to the fact of this prophecy beginning to form. The....group has already been created. Visitors will be here soon, do not worry, it will be alright."
With a sigh, Annabeth nodded, and Hecage disappeared.
