Miliani woke to a soft finger trailing down her cheek. She grumbled, nuzzling into her pillow, a deep chuckle echoing in her ears. Her eyes flew open to see Elijah standing in front of her, his hair disheveled from lying on the concrete floor.
She jumped up into his arms, tumbling them both onto the floor. A deep chuckle vibrated from his chest as she clung to him like a koala. "I've missed you too darling."
"She took too long," Miliani grumbled, planting a kiss to his lips. Elijah eagerly accepted it, missing the feel of them on his.
Only the moment was cut short when a pillow hit the two of them.
"It's too early for the two of you to be cute while I'm helplessly single," Caroline cried, falling back into the bed. Miliani just laughed and kissed Elijah again.
"I have to go see Elena, but I give you my word I will be back for you," he told her.
"I'm just glad they didn't do something stupid like sign over the boarding house to her. That shit is mine," Miliani commented allowing Elijah to pick the two of them up off the floor effortlessly.
Caroline popped her head back up. "Uh, duh you have to come back. You have to pass the best friend test, soulmate or not," she pointed out as Miliani nodded matter-of-factly.
"I shall be back to pass the test with flying colors. Goodbye, Elskan."
Caroline frowned. "Did he just call you, Elk Hands?"
"I think we need to go back to bed," Miliani commented, getting up to cuddle her best friend again.

"I'm going to kill him," Miliani screamed, storming into the library of her home. She was seething. Klaus had the audacity to go after Jenna. She knew that he somehow stole her list of people to protect but yet he still did it. Jenna had tears in her eyes and rushed to the young girl for a hug.
Elena winced at that.
"I told you, Elena. I told you that you should have told her. If she had known, we could have told her about Klaus being inside of Alaric and she would have stayed on campus," Miliani snapped from over Jenna's shoulder. "Do you understand that she could have been killed?"
"She's not your family, Miliani! Stop acting like she is," Elena snapped back, her anger taking over the best of her.
Miliani moved Jenna to the side. The strawberry-blonde watched with wide eyes as the young girl stalked up to her niece. For the first time, she saw the predator the girl could be, but she wasn't afraid. That made her afraid.
"You are right. If she was my family I wouldn't have treated her so shittily. She would have known right from the beginning," Miliani snarled. Jenna gasped as Elena slapped the hybrid.
