The periodic quizzes the teacher decided to take this year to make the students accustomed to the NEWT pattern were finally over meaning the break was in 2 days.
"My god now I miss Math and Physics." Elle groaned loudly from where she lay on the grass with her head on Remus' lap as the Gryffindor girls and marauders boys lounged in the winter sun after their last quiz on herbology.
"Physics?" Sirius questioned confused about what subject it was and whether was it taught at Beuxbotons.
Eleanor realized what she just blurted out and turned to Sirius with a mischievous idea in her mind.
"Well, it's muggle science that my boyfriend back in the States studies at his muggle school. It's too complicated and once summer he tried teaching me but I ran for my life." She told him. Noticing how rigid he went at the term boyfriend. How all three boys stopped what they were doing even James who tried placing little flowers in Lily's hair as she lay dozing softly in the winter sun.
"You got a boyfriend back home?" Remus asked trying not to look too nosy.
"I did, but I guess he liked it more when I went to beuxboton. Also, I knew he was seeing someone else when I was gone." which was true as her high school boyfriend Cameron Smith cheated on her over the summer.
"What a bitch." James seethed.
"Ik jay-jay." she winked at him. "Well, I was every over him when I traveled to London to start here."
"As you should be dorlin'," Delia said.
"Well, other things said and done. Let's go over the holiday plan." James said making everyone peek at the name of the holidays.
"Lily and Mary are coming with me to my house for the first week," Marlene replied.
"Remus, Pete, and I will head straight to the potter abode," Sirius replied.
"Ellie and I will head to my home," Delia answered.
"Mils?" Remus asked.
"I don't know guys. I'm not brave enough like Sirius to run away. Maybe next year when I'm of age I'll leave home for good but not now. They'll hunt me down now that Bella is marrying my brother, I can't risk it." Mils sobbed.
"Hey millie-poo, don't cry no one can harm you until I'm here," Sirius said solemnly. "Jamesie don't your mother have a cousin who owns a wizarding robe shop in France? And I guess she is coming for the ball." Sirius questioned.
"Yeh she works with the muggle magazine Vogue ig, she is coming. Oh ik, what you getting at." James replied, turning to Mils. "Don't worry Millie you are coming with us and never returning to that mad house ever again. Beatrice my aunt can take care of your clothing problem, she always wanted a wizarding model to try her clothing line on, just they would be more muggle-styled than high aristocratic pureblood type.
Millie threw her arms over the two boys' shoulders and sobbed hard thanking them for looking out for her.
"Well now that is all settled who are you all taking as dates to the ball," Mary asked.
Everyone pondered who would take who James started, but was cut off by Lily, " No Potter, I'm not going with you."
"Well Evans, I was going to ask Delia out, but yeah thank you for letting me know." he huffed.
"Well I'll be happy to go with you but let me be clear just as friends," Del replied. James nodded and pulled Del in a hug. "As a friend."
"Millie dearie would you go out with me as friends," Marls asked as she knew Millie was bi. "Why not Marlie, what better way to defy my parents no offense." mils replied. "None taken."
"I was planning on asking Frank out his family is invited by the potters," Alice told them.
"Uhm, Mary would you like to go to the ball with me." Peter squeaked out before all the girls were asked for.
"Yeah sure, better than going stag," she said.
Now it was Remus, Sirius, Ellie, and Lily left. The tension was high.
"Eleanor w-" Sirius was cut by Ellie asking.
"Remus would you go to the ball with me?" she asked in a small voice a pleading look in her eyes.
"Yeah, why not," Remus replied with a smile.
"Well, Black it's just us now. Let's see how ballroom-prepared you are." Lily said as a matter of fact.
"Oye Evans, I'll let you know I'm a fairly good dancer ask Mils there she'll let you know."
" He is an excellent ballroom dancer. Only Black quality trait he picked up other than his aristocratic looks." Mils said.
"Well, partners and living arrangements done. I think its time we head in and change so that we can finally have food I'm starved," Remus said.
"Yes me too," Ellie said getting up and stretching.
With that everyone headed to the Gryffindor tower to change and get ready for dinner.

i know i have been gone over the year neglecting this fic. i had taken a break from marauders as it was a bit overwhelming for me as I spent most of my time reading Wattpad fics. I'm trying being more productive now and will try my best to at least provide 5 updates per month from now and finish this fiction to continue the Remus Lupin one next.
