Chapter 16: Meet my lover

Sunday morning approached and the day went by too fast. The pair would stay cuddled up inside the apartment for the whole day, not wanting to part, yet they had to. They decided to start the week each from their own homes, trying their best not to get distracted from work by the other. They were in their honeymoon phase of their relationship and the past week had just proven how comfortable they felt around each other.

Still, just like that their first week together had to come to an end.

The week started off quite hectic for Jungkook. Like he predicted he had a full schedule, being demanded as one of the best wedding planners his company had to offer. Thankfully, his Tuesday schedule was blocked until after lunch and he could attend the meeting with his boss, Namjoon, the Kim brothers and their manager.

Jungkook had already informed Namjoon about the two singers, who, in his eyes, were more than perfect for their company. They had gained a bit of attention over the past two weeks, but it didn't blow out of proportion. Namjoon had thought about different approaches and revised a plan he shared with Jungkook.

The concept Namjoon planned for his company was to provide their clients with every piece of service they could ask for. Reaching from the perfect locations over dance classes to catering services, flower arrangements, and other things. Having their own wedding singers was one item on the list they had yet to offer.

Their meeting was only a few minutes away and Jungkook nervously paced the room waiting for their guests to arrive.
"What are you so nervous for? He's your boyfriend and you let me listen to their recordings beforehand. I already told you I loved their voices and songs." the boss tried to calm him down a bit.
"No idea, I just feel a bit edgy. Maybe it's because he is my boyfriend." he smiled at Namjoon. "Or maybe it's because I didn't see him yesterday." This sentence made Namjoon roll his eyes and shake his head with a fond dimple smile adorning his handsome face.
"Guess you are a lovestruck fool at the moment. But I am happy for you, Jungkook. Finally you found someone."

A soft series of knocks made both aware of their guests' arrival and turn their attention towards the door.
"Yes, come in" Namjoon answered and three people entered the meeting room. The manager greeted both men with a firm handshake and Jin and Taehyung followed suit, meeting the boss for the first time.
"Welcome to NJK wedding specialists. Please have a seat." Namjoon gestured towards the empty chairs across him and Jungkook, a smile never leaving his handsome face. He eyed the three men, taking in the attractive features of the two singers.

The singers looked at each other quite flustered, as one was head over heals with his boyfriend and the other was getting shy at the boss's intense eye contact every now and then.

"I listened to your recordings as Jungkook here already showed me everything you had to offer. Your social media account needs some update and a promotional video would also be to your advantage, but other than that you are a perfect match for our company." Namjoon began the meeting. They discussed the terms and conditions with their manager showing different possibilities for the best outcome and future plan for the two singers.

After almost two hours of discussing they came to an agreement, setting up a contract for three years as a start. NJK was going to provide and sponsor recordings, photo and video sessions and other activities for the two.

They concluded the meeting after agreeing on the next appointment when their companies came to terms with the final contract.

At lunch

Jimin was standing at the window, searching for the familiar faces of Jungkook and Jennie. He was so curious about his friend's Mr. Perfect, that he almost forgot attending their current customers and missed the intense ringing of the bell resonating from the kitchen counter.
"Jimin! I swear to god, if you don't concentrate on the orders and mess them up you're going to sleep on the couch tonight!" Yoongi reminded him.
On rather busy days like today he was on edge, not able to take any re-order caused by his lover's, normally endearing clumsiness.
"Yes, yes, I know. Sorry, I'll concentrate properly. Don't worry. I'm just so eager to meet Jungkook's boyfriend, you know?"
"Why didn't you just set up a meeting on our days off? You know how unpredictable our work days are." Yoongi reasoned before getting back to preparing food.
"I was just so impatient. But I will do that next time, ok, honey? Then you can also join in!" Jimin quickly took the orders and rushed to serve their customers, thankfully placing them on the correct tables.
