I woke up to the gentle touch of Dwayne's hand on my shoulder, the dim morning light filtering through the curtains.

"Happy birthday babe." He whispered, his voice soft and comforting. Come man get up, nuff things fi duh today. How yuh feel,"He asked.
"Better, thanks for staying," I spoke then pecked his lips.
"Dat good mon, from a me a yuh man yuh set fi life."
I grouned, still feeling the remnants of sleep clinging to me, but the excitement in his eyes was contagious. I dragged myself out of bed and headed to the bathroom to freshen up.
"Wonda if sky wake?" I say to myself
"She wake mon, start get ready already suh hurry up." He demands me

We got ready quickly, and before long, Dwayne was driving us to the hair salon. He pulled into the drive thru of sovereign village and parked his car.
"Gwan buy the food, Aguh collect summ. See the key yah Incase onuh finish before mi."
Sky and I jumped out the car, as we made our way inside. We ordered a good amount of food and carried it back to the car, Dwayne didn't come back as yet though.
"Wonda a whe him a duh suh long" Sky spoke, frowning as we settled into the car.
"Dat mi wah know to'" i replied, a bit puzzled but not overly concerned. Dwayne full a to much supries.
We sat in the car, munching on our zingers, when Dwayne suddenly appeared, holding a bouquet of flowers. My heart melted at the sight.
