She exited my office, I watched through the glass walls, a mix of emotions swirling within me. I can't believe my Valeria is here. She made her way to Adam, introducing herself with a warm smile. He looks taken aback by her presence. A surge of jealousy coursed through me. Move your hand you fucker! the longest handshake I have ever encountered. She moved first, talking to him. He looked nervous, I can't blame him, she is hot.
I want to wipe that fucking smile off his stupid face. What are they talking about? why is he laughing that hard?! Just move already. I moved my hand to call for him, if she doesn't move I will remove him from this conversation. My hand was just over the dial button when my gaze spotted him.
Fucking Charlie.
Walking into the hallway leading to Adam's desk. In the moment he stepped in, Valeria's whole attention shifted to him. I can't believe my own eyes... she hugged him. In a second, her hands wrapped around his neck in a tight hug. His hideous smile on full display as he returned her hug. Even Adam looked shocked from their embrace.
Their conversation seemed animated, laughter echoing the hallway cutting through the glass walls right at me. A whole set of jealousy burned its way through my flesh. She knows him! that's why she said he was her choice!
Is she fucking him!? Before I knew it, I found myself making my way towards them. As I approached, their laughter faded, Charlie released her from his arms. She is still very close to him. "Charlie."
"John," he acknowledged, his tone cool and distant. Valeria only offered a side glance at me. "It was nice seeing you today." his gaze went back to her.
"Likewise, Adam, still up to you promise?" she shifted her attention to Adam, who had the widest smile on his reddish face. As If I wasn't standing there, Adam stepped out from behind his desk, heading to the hallway.
"What are you doing?" I asked loudly that I intended. Adam swiftly looked back at me, still having this stupid smile of his face.
"He is taking me for a round at the office, I believe, you have a meeting with Charlie now." Bossy kitten, I love it. That stern tone of her went right to my— Both disappeared down the hallway with their voice echoing.
I felt Charlie's gaze burning through me. "Why are you here?" I said, heading back to my office. He followed me without answering my question.
"Is it so odd to visit my cousin?" he said, taking the seat across mine.
"Should I pretend to care?" I leaned back.
"You know, John, fighting for the CEO seat seems rather pointless at this moment. Why embarrass yourself in front of the board when we both know who they will choose?" a smirk playing on his lips.
I laughed. "I never knew you were that funny."
"You want to play a dangerous game, cousin. Don't underestimate what I'm capable of."
"You know I love games."
"Suit yourself. I just wanted to give you a brotherly advice, it's better to bow out gracefully than to face public humiliation when the inevitable happens."
"Are you that scared to face me? I won't bite I swear." It was his laughter this time that echoed the room. "Never knew you were such a pussy."
He stood up, heading his way to the door. "I would love to see the day where I took yet another thing from you. Those memories gives me pure joy."
That fucker... "You send her to spy for you, Always like to play dirty." He looked back, another round of laughter came out of him.
"I don't need anyone to spy, your plan is very expected from you. You're just an easy play." He held the door half opened. His gaze went back to me. "Good luck cousin, you won't get the chair nor the girl."
