This is a fanfiction about Mr. October (octobersthirteenth) from Instagram, Tik Tok and other social media platforms. I do not own this picture; I screenshot from his Instagram account. When I was editing the picture on my phone, I cropped out his profile name to use as a lock screen picture.
I was inspired to write this story by the red roses and the black and white color scheme of the photo shoot. I had Beauty and the Beast vibes while coming up this story, but the beast was an older woman who locked herself away in her stately manor with her staff. Mr. October is of course, the beauty.
The Biltmore Estate in Asheville, North Carolina is the inspiration for the Claybourne Estate.

Dame Maggie Smith is the inspiration for Martha MacDonald. I adored her acting and have loved her since watching The Secret Garden that I make references (Easter eggs) in my story.

In the story, October talked about his Book Club on a certain social app (iykyk). It is called Host Club now, but I kept it called book club for the story for it made more sense in the conservation between the two.
The story is written in dual POVs, October's and the FMC, Lady Damaris Claybourne.
