Before

When Gray and I successfully reached to the other three members of our survival team, we continued to slowly walk backwards another couple blocks, keeping our eye on the fight.

Thankfully, one of the heroes of the day, Blue the beta raptor, returned to the battle.

The clicking of her mouth brought the Indominus' jaws from the neck of the T-Rex, giving the T-Rex a chance to push the aggressor away.

On her feet, the T-Rex and Blue started to step towards the Indominus, who started to cower back. Coincidentally, the two were pushing the Indominus to the edge of Mo's pit.

"If they keep backing it up, your plan may come true, Lo," Owen muttered.

"Oh, no, that's terrible for her digestion," I said.

"Mo won't eat it, right?" Zach asked.

"No, Mosasaurs used to eat anything. They even sometimes ate smaller Mosasaurs-- she'll devour it," I explained, "Mo, don't do it, my friend!"

Dissing her mother, my sweet little animal turned into a kick ass monster for the first time.

With a ear piercing roar, Mo leapt from the water, the perfect distance to clench her jaws around the neck of the Indominus and drag it into the water.

Despite my worry for her internal organs, I was psyched at how amazing her take down was.

"Not so big are you now, bitch!" I shouted at the Indominus.

"Shouldn't say bitch," Gray muttered.

"No, you shouldn't swear at all," Claire reprimanded.

"I made an effort to restrain myself," I said.

"And it failed," Owen pointed out.

"Can we just get off this island now?" Claire asked breathlessly.

I turned my head to the crushed deck where Mo was seen, for possibly the last time by myself.

Owen laced our fingers together. "She'll be okay, Lauren," he whispered, giving me a hopeful smile.

"Yeah, she's a bad ass," Gray said.

Zach smiled at me. "And she gets it from her mom."
