Lan Wangji, Nie Huaisang, and Meng Yao are sitting in a cozy café after a long day when they have to do a college project together as a team.

The conversation is lively, and they are discussing their plans for the upcoming college projects.

Nie Huaisang starts the conversation, "So, guys, we finally managed to patch things up because the professor has given us this project to do together so I want to clear the misunderstanding between us. It's great to see us all getting along again because I find it very boring to be alone in college."

Meng Yao also excitedly said, "Absolutely! Lan Wangji, we took your side that day but I am sorry that we didn't do it in front of you. Seeing Wen Chao suddenly kneel in front of you made me want to punch him but I am a bit timid. Today it feels like the right time to enjoy ourselves. How about we catch a movie tonight?"

Lan Wangji happily replied, "That sounds like a good idea. Do you have any particular movie in mind? I don't want to dwell on the past either as Wen Chao has already been punished for his actions."

Nie Huaisang excitedly said, "There's that new romantic comedy that's just come out. It might be a bit cliché, but it's supposed to be entertaining."

Meng Yao said, "Perfect! It will be a nice change from our usual serious discussions. Let’s go for that. Anyway, watching romcoms makes me happy as singlehood is our destiny."

Lan Wangji feels shy then he nods, and they finalize their plans to go to the movie later that evening.

**At the Cinema**

The cinema is bustling with people, Lan Wangji, Nie Huaisang, and Meng Yao arrive and buying their tickets.

Lan Wangji's lover Wei Ying arrives shortly after when they are going towards their Audi 8 for the movie.

Wei Ying greets everyone lovingly, "Hey everyone! Sorry I’m late. Traffic was a nightmare so i hope you'll don't mind."

Nie Huaisang's eyes widen as Senior Wei Ying himself comes to watch the movie with them, which is impossible for them to even imagine in this lifetime.

Nie Huaisang shyly says, "Senior Wei! No worries, come and join us. We were just about to start the movie and I am so happy to meet you."

Meng Yao's eyes widen and her heart beats faster as he stutters, "Senior Wei, you are most welcome to our group and there’s a seat next to Lan Wangji. Looks like you two will be cozying up together."

Wei Ying smiles and takes the seat next to Lan Wangji, who greets him with a soft nod then the group settles in as the movie begins.

Throughout the movie, Lan Wangji and Wei Ying are seated closely together holding each others hands.

Their proximity is notable, with Lan Wangji’s arm brushing against Wei Ying’s and their lovey dovey romantic cuddling.

They exchange soft smiles and whispers during the film, creating an intimate atmosphere.

Nie Huaisang is intrigued so he whispers to Meng Yao, "Meng Yao, Look at those two, they’re practically glued to each other. I think Lan Wangji and Senior Wei are having an affair."

Meng Yao whispers back, "Nie Huaisang, it's almost like they’re in their own little world so they’re definitely not just friends. I’ve never heard of Senior Wei meeting his old classmates or any close friend."
