"Get back here you little rat! We ain't done with you yet!" called a voice from behind me. I knew that they could outrun me, and I knew there were about four more of them, but they didn't know about the Passage. I turned a corner, removed the painting, and climbed through the hole, replacing the painting behind myself. The Passage was similar to a ventilation shaft, in that you could fit within it, and it was a long rectangular tube. In all other ways however, there were no similarities. The walls were coated in a thick layer of moss, and were made of concrete rather than metal. I had no real idea why this tunnel existed, but I was glad for it to be there. Whenever I found myself in this situation, I would always manage to convince myself that my heavy breathing would give away the Passage's location. It never did, but it still worried me.
Perhaps I should give a bit more information about what the hell is happening. My name is Gemini. I don't know why I was named this, and, now that I think about it, it's a very odd name. Anyways, I'm an eighth grader of a very small stature. This height disadvantage managed to earn me the nickname, squeak, as appointed by my peers. More observant people might realize this is the reason I was called a "little rat" by my pursuers. The pursuers in question are just average bullies, with below average IQs. The strange mossy passage is to be explained in the future. All you currently need to know, is it's a thing that I use as a hiding place. Now that I've finished this slight bit of back story that is almost completely meaningless, let's get on with the information that anyone gives a shit about, shall we?
I heard the first school bell ring through the hall. "Well shit." I thought to myself. "It'll take at least three minutes for those bastards to leave, and by that point I'll be late for class." Realizing the situation, I decided to explore. Traveling through the Passage was not something I had done before, since I normally had time to get to my classroom before second bell. Since I had a zero percent chance of making it in time, I thought "Fuck it, I'm late anyways. Let's go on an adventure." I began to crawl through the mossy tunnel.
