Birthday celebrations

After my Mom and Dads divorce, nothing had ever been quite the same. I desperately wanted to live with my mom since i had a much better relationship with her than Caroline ever did but somehow i never get my way. I still live with my dad now even though technically i could move out if i really wanted to, but knowing his bad temper he most likely wouldn't allow it. I of course still talk with my mom and Caroline basically every day but sometimes i dread talking to Caroline because she will go on and on for hours upon end. But i still love her unconditionally. It is the 10th of October today which only means one thing..a great big celebration for my sister Caroline as it is her birthday. I bought her some new boots that she has been talking about for a good two months now. I just hope no one else bought them first for her otherwise I'm doomed.

Going back to mystic falls is gonna be really weird since I haven't seen everyone in months. I'm dreading seeing Tyler since i had a fling with him. And by fling i mean us having drunk sex. He totally insinuated it though. I would honestly never lay a hand on him if i wasn't drunk. That vein in his forehead seems freaky as if it stares right into my soul. However I am really excited to see Bonnie, Elena, Jeremy and Matt. As much as they are Caroline's friends they are also really close with me too. We are all like one big happy family with dysfunctional issues. For example Caroline is a control freak, Elena is a grief maniac even though it's not her fault, Bonnie has slight anger issues, Tyler's got alcohol problems and Matt... well Matt is just Matt. Probably the most normal one out of us all. And for me of course, I am extremely stubborn.

"Jules! Hurry up you need to leave I'm about to lock up." My dad says to me with the house keys jingling in his hand impatiently. "Yeah sorry. Just give me a second."  I say before quickly grabbing my purse and rushing downstairs so i don't get scolded again.
"Tell Caroline i said hi will you?" He says with a cold look on his face which only earned a small nod from me before i got into my silver sedan.

While driving i get a call which i pick up since i see my mom's name on the phone.
"Hey mom I'm just driving through to mystic falls now. Is everything alright?" I say waiting for a response. "Yes sweetie, Caroline has no idea you're coming to surprise her so when you sneak up on her you have to be really secretive okay?" My mom says.
"Yes yes i know, don't worry about it okay I've got it all under control. Anyways i gotta go driving while I'm on the phone isn't safe remember? You being the sherif and all should know that by now am i right?" I say laughing before ending the call.

I look down for a split second to put my phone away and when i look back up to focus on driving i crash into something.
I raise a hand to my nose as it is now bleeding and i carefully but quickly step out of the car to see what i hit. Panic immediately surges through my veins when i see a lifeless body and i instantly rush to the person's side shaking them.
"Oh god oh god! Please wake up! No! What have i done? I didn't even see you." I rush back to my car and i grab my phone with urgency and i immediately dial an ambulance whilst sat with the lifeless body or so I thought?

The person who I thought was dead lets out a large breath opening their eyes.
"H-how are you alive?! You weren't breathing." I say with a horrified yet relieved gaze in my eyes.
"I am dead and i think it's your turn now for running me over." The man's voice was deep and intimidating as he looked at me with  what seemed like veins appearing under his eyes. And the next thing i know the mans teeth were sunk deep in my neck and i fall into an unconscious slumber.
