Gianna Rostova

I left the kitchen with butterflies in my stomach. Matteo had a way of making everything hurt way less and I loved him for that. I really did.

Matteo having a brother was so unexpected but so good. I could imagine him with a  little brother bickering like other siblings do.

I got into my room and went under the warm covers, I chose I nice film and sipped on my tea. The pain was starting to ease, and by tomorrow everything should be okay. Awhile later, I squeezed my eyes shut and fell asleep.

I eventually woke up to the feeling of someone's arm snaking around my waist then a soft kiss to the forehead. I was half asleep so I stirred slightly, and his hand smoothed over my waist, gently putting me back to sleep.

I woke up to the sun streaming through the window. I turned slightly and Matteo was awake but still had a sleepy look in his brown eyes.

"Good morning." I grin sleepily.

"Good morning, amore."

His eyes followed me to my closet and he gets up, "I'm gonna be on a small business trip to DC again, but I'll be back tonight." He says from behind me.

I turn to him seeing his chocolate eyes looking at me, "That fine, I'll see you when you get back," i say.

After a couple beats of comfortable silence he adds, "Also, I have a surprise for you tonight so get ready."

I smile at the thought of Matteo preparing something for me, "Really? Thank you! How should I dress?"

"Whatever you want really, it's not formal or anything," he grunts as he stands up from my bed with ease and strode over to me, kissing me.

I liked that we kissed a lot more now, before we go to bed, before and after we leave the house basically anytime a normal couple would.

I smile and he returns it with a small smirk of his own, "I'll see you later then." I say.

"You too," He opens the door and closes it behind him.

I got ready really quickly, and stepped out of my room and was greeted with a smile from Angie.

"Nice to see you this morning," my voice happy

"I'm delighted to be hearing from you this morning as well, Mrs Moretti." Her words sounded like she had rehearsed them, but I brush it off.

We both start the walk to breakfast, I was starting to get the hang of this place.

"So, how are your grandchildren?" I ask

"Oh, they're great, Mrs Morreti," she starts, "Jasmine's just had her fifth birthday and we're going to her favourite restaurant to celebrate." She says happily.

Jasmine was Angies granddaughter and she seemed like an absolute sweetheart, although I haven't met her before she looked adorable.

"That's great, I hope she has a great day, and you too," I hug her before we got to the dining room, which was as usual stacked with pancakes and the most delicious food ever.

But at the end of the table sat a blonde, with brown eyes and a kind expression. But after my eyes focused I realized, it was Romano Moretti, the famous Ice hockey player with blizzare headlines.

I wasn't much of an Ice hockey fan but I knew he played for The Panthers and was one of the best players in the world, which was a pretty cool title.

He saw me and rose from his seat, "Hi, I'm Romano, Matteo's little brother, he must had mentioned a ton of times." He says walking towards me.
