".... Really Valentina... staying with your nana is not that bad.. is it?." Charisma asked as she walked into the lake house with her grand baby who had a face like thunder.
"No nana, never... but I don't understand why I need to be here and why I can't be at home.."
"Because it is obviously safe for you to be with me for the time being..." she sighed. "Listen baby girl, nobody wants to lock you away, no one wants to keep you from your friends. And one day when you're old enough you'll realise why we do what we do to protect you..."

"You're 11 years old.. he shouldn't even be talking to you... I don't wanna hear anymore about him okay... instead you can go and peel some potatoes ready for dinner..."
She nodded. "Yes nana...Will pops be staying for dinner too?... just so I know how many to make..." she asked inquisitively.
"I'm sure he will be very grateful if you made him a plate. He can warm it up whenever he gets back..."
She smiled. " is pops going to live here with you now at the lake house?.."
"I don't know... probably not, he has a huge home. This one is tiny and comparison to that and you know that your pops likes to be very lavish and have the biggest of everything so I'm sure he'll keep his home to himself...."
"Will you move back into that house with him?."
Charisma smirked. "if I didn't know better, I'd say that he sent you here to ask these questions like a tiny spy for him..."
Valentina laughed. "No nana.. I just like you and pops together..." she said and headed to the kitchen to do as her nana had asked her.
Charisma knew that what she had said to Keegan had probably hurt him a little even though he had done his best to show otherwise, but in truth she was happy being alone for the time being, happy to have him there as her best friend, but she didn't know how she felt about it being anything else, at least not at this point, she just didn't know how to progress any further.
