As you step off the plane, you feel the humid air of Miami, a far cry from the dry and crisp atmosphere in your hometown. The city pulsates; you are set for life. After checking into a modest hotel, you feel the urge to get out and do some city exploring so you could really feel where you're at.

Strolling down the busy street, your ears pick up the rhythmic sounds of Latin music, drawing you closer to a nearby park. A crowd has formed, and you elbow your way through to the middle to see what is going on. There, in the middle of it all, you find a group of dancers in their element, moving to the beats with full precision. You are immediately entranced, with unfamiliar excitement washing over you.

The next day you find yourself back in that park, and the day after the next. Each time watching those dancers, trying to pick up their moves. You thought that you'd never be into dancing, but there was something about this crew that drew you in. One evening, when the crowd begins to fade out, you summon the guts to get closer to one of the dancers, a tall guy with a friendly smile.

"Hey," you start off, kind of nervous, "that was sick. Y'all practice here a lot?"The dancer turns around, surprised but pleased. "Thanks, man. Yeah, we do. We're called The Mob. By the way, I'm Sean." He offers his hand to seal the end of the introduction, and you shake it off, feeling somehow affiliated.

"I'm [Y/N]," you reply. "I've been watching you guys for a few days now. I. I think I'd like to try dancing too. Do you think I could join you sometime?"

Sean looks you up and down before nodding. "Sure, why not? We could always use more passionate dancers. Come by tomorrow evening, and we'll see what you've got."

Excitement and nervousness rush over you as you leave the park. You can't sleep the next night your mind goes like a racing engine with all the various things that could happen now. This is your chance to start over, to find something you're really passionate about.

The next evening you are back in the same park. Your heart pounds in your chest, but you see Sean and the rest of The Mob already warming up. You take a deep breath and step forward, ready for action.

"Alright, [Y/N], show us what you have got," Sean says, beaming with encouragement. You nod and begin to move to the music, trying to express what you have observed over the last few days. Far from perfect, but you give it all your heart. Finishing up the routine, you look to see the crew watching you with interest.

"Not bad," Sean said, clapping you on the back. "You've got potential. Welcome to The Mob, [Y/N]."

A heady wash of relief and excitement tumbles down on you. This is, at best, a first step, but the first time in a long while you feel you're precisely where you're supposed to be.
