I slowly started to stir awake a little while later, biting back a small groan of annoyance while I furrowed my brows.

"Georgie?" someone asked from beside me, their voice barely above a whisper while they took my hand in theirs, leaving a trail of sparks in the way, and I could tell that it was my mate. "Are you waking up?"

I slowly nodded and pressed my lips into a thin line, licking my lips to make sure that they weren't dry. "Yes," I said, my voice barely above a whisper and cracking. "I am awake." I opened my eyes and bit back a small sigh while I turned to look at her, taking my hand from hers and starting to rub my eyes to wake me up some more.

My mate placed her hand in her lap and stared at me. She pressed her lips into a thin line, looking a little upset that I had taken my hand from hers, not saying a word.

I started to sit up, being careful of my sleeping twins, and my mate hesitated before she started to help me sit up, and I couldn't help but enjoy the sparks that appeared between the two of us. "Thank you," I said, my voice barely above a whisper when I was in a sitting position, and my mate offered me a tight smile and nodded, sitting down again.

I closed my eyes, biting back a small sigh before I opened my eyes and looked at my mate to see that she looked worn out and tired but also nervous. "How are you feeling?" I asked and frowned, becoming worried about my mate, and my mate raised an eyebrow in question, looking mildly impressed.

"What are you talking about?" she asked and cocked her head while she studied me. "Why are you asking me how I am feeling when you are the one that is still hooked up to some machines and looking like you are at death's door."

I bit back a small chuckle and closed my eyes while I leaned my head against my bedrest, biting back a small sigh. "I'm still mentally and emotionally drained, As- Alpha," I said, changing with what I was going to say at the last second. I looked at her and stared at her with wide eyes, feeling very nervous.

Oh, Goddess, please do not let her be mad at me for almost saying her name...

Ash frowned, and a spark of annoyance and amusement flashed through her eyes. "Ashlyn," she said, and I raised an eyebrow in question. "Call me Ashlyn, not Alpha, Georgie," she said, tucking her head closer to her chest while she studied me with a small smile on her face. "Or Ash as you have been doing in the past." She shook her head. "I do not mind at all."

I pressed my lips into a thin line and slowly nodded. I didn't say a word while I moved a hand through my brother's hair, and he instantly moved closer to me and placed his arm across my stomach.

Near where the baby laid growing and forming with each passing second...

I closed my eyes and sighed when that thought crossed my mind, and I couldn't help but pursed my lips in annoyance and disgust.

"Georgie?" Ash asked, her voice barely above a whisper. She hesitated but reached out and grabbed my hand like she wanted to, and I turned to look at her, opening my eyes in the process.

There was a small frown on her face, and her brows were furrowed, creating small creases in her forehead while she did so.

She continued to grab my hand and brought it closer to her lips, kissing the back of it while she stared at me with dark brown eyes that seemed to turn darker a color while she became filled with worry and nervousness.

I didn't say a word and cocked my head to the side while I stared at her, not knowing what to say or do.

Oh, Goddess...

I knew that she wanted to know if I was ok or not or if she needed to call for the doctor, even though she didn't say an actual word.

However, I didn't know what or how I was feeling, still feeling as drained as ever and not knowing if I would ever feel anything besides that.

But maybe I would be able to if I accepted her...

I bit back a small snort and held back an eye roll because I did accept her as my mate, even though... I was still a little hesitant about being mated to a female and having a mate in general.

'That is not accepting her,' my wolf teased, and I held back an eye roll while I pressed my lips into a thin line. 'She is not going to be mad at us for being pregnant and doesn't mind waiting for us to accept her...'

I bit back a small sigh and mentally nodded. 'I know,' I said, my voice barely above a whisper. 'But it still scares me that something bad could happen to us in the future.' I bit back a small sigh and moved a hand through my hair.

"Georgie?" Ash asked, her voice barely above a whisper, and she squeezed my hand reassuringly, and I opened my eyes and turned to look at her. She frowned and tucked her head closer to her chest and stared at me, biting back a small sigh. "Are you ok?" she asked, her voice barely above a whisper while she raised an eyebrow in question.

I shrugged and grimaced. "I will be," I said, my voice also barely above a whisper before I cleared my throat and shifted on my bed, being very careful of my brother and sister, who were still asleep. I licked my lips and cleared my throat while I looked at my lap. "I think I am just tired, even though I have only been sleeping."

Ash bit back a small sigh and squeezed my hand a little before she let go of my hand, and I couldn't help but feel a little alone and cold. "What is going through your mind, Georgie?" she asked and raised an eyebrow in question. "Is there anything that I can help you with?"

I hesitated before I slowly shrugged and grimaced. "I don't know," I admitted before I cleared my throat and shifted in my bed with my cheeks turning red. "I wish I knew, but I do not." I hesitated and licked my lips before I bit back a small sigh. "There is something that I needed to tell you though..."

Ash cocked her head and studied me while she pressed her lips into a thin line. She cleared her throat and raised an eyebrow in question while she did so, looking very nervous. "And what is it that you have to tell me?" she asked. "Are you ok? Are you out?"

I bit back a small sigh and slowly nodded while I looked at my lap before I looked at her. "Sort of, and I am not hurt," I said before I cleared my throat and shifted on my bed. "But the thing that I have to tell you is that..."

I looked up at her and stared at her with small dead eyes filled with pain and nervousness while I stared at her with a grave look on my face, not knowing how she would react to this news, and my mate grew more worried and leaned back in her seat while she stared at me with lips pressed into a thin line.

"I'm pregnant."
