Huge, white, mist... is what I see when I enter the land of Octavia. I look around to see any type of vegetation, but nothing... Is this really where my sister is getting married off to?

I sigh and turn around to meet my sister's eye, she gives me a playful wink and I roll my eyes at her, knowing exactly what she means.

"I get it, Nueva. You're the younger sibling, and you're getting married before me. Big deal." I say, pretending as if it doesn't really bother me when in deep reality, I do have this bottomless pit of emptiness.

"There are plenty of boys in Octavia. They're nothing like the gremlins we have back in Lysera." Nueva tries to reassure me.

"Too bad, I'm not looking for any man." I scoff.

Nueva gives me a serious look and shakes her head, sighing.

"You do remember what father said, right..?" Nueva whispers.

"Find a suitable groom or we'll marry you off to your great uncle." I hear my father's words from the back of my thoughts, as much as I try to shut it off, I simply cannot. I simply just shake my head.

"When do we reach the main city?" I ask, looking out the window. "There's barely anything out here, or maybe I cannot see much because of these weird smelling mist. Smells like musk."

Nueva giggles. "Well, apparently this is Octavia's defense mechanism, only people with an official map to Octavia can enter it without getting lost. You do know that Octavia is like, a very big deal, right?" Nueva asks, I could feel her slightly judging me. "Lysera is like... an ant compared to Octavia."

I adjust my headpiece as I stare at my sister.

"you really are lucky... you're blessed with mother's beauty... it's eerie, actually. How you're like her replica." I say, softly.

Nueva looks at me softly and smiles.

TIME SKIP:-

I step out of my carriage and look up at the castle, to say that it's massive and holds more than abundant power would be an understatement. I take a deep breath and walk into the main halls with my sister and father, along with our train of servants and guards, carrying treasures to impress the king of Octavia. Us as Lyserans, we do like to brag about our riches, we may be the smallest kingdom, but our treasures say otherwise.

The Freejans are the ruling family of Octavia. They are related to us, the Huntington's.

I look at the stage where all the thrones are placed and I see the king of Octavia himself, Askelaad Freejan...

We quickly put on our best curtsies. Just like how we practiced.

"It's an honor to have you hear, my dear Hans." King Askelaad says as he hugs my father. "Another beautiful union between the Huntingtons and Freejans, another seal to connect Octavia and Lysera. Your daughter, Nueva looks very beautiful, I must say, she resembles your wife a lot."

"It's an honor to be here, Askelaad." My father smiles. "Your son, Clive, is the best match for Nueva. May their union be blessed by the almighty himself..."

I look around the room, bored. When I met someone's midnight blue eyes. My mouth is slightly apart when I see the whole universe in his eyes.

"Oh, I think your older daughter has met my oldest son, Caspian..." Askelaad chuckles.

Oh... my... god... Caspian.
