NiGHTS Get's Sick

It happened when the emerald traveling dragon noticed that NiGHTS wasn't around the Dream Gate. That was odd as normally the purple jester would've been thrilled to see a visitor arrive, even those they've met before. She was lucky to see Owl, only he appeared to be pacing on the ground rather then flying like he normally would. He was muttering to himself while sounding unsure.

Owl: Oh what am I to do, what do I do, what do I do?! This is not good, I need to do something before it get's worst! But how will I even do this on my own without them noticing?

Ashley: Uh Owl what's going on?

He stops and looks up, relieved to see that it was just Ashley.

Owl: Ah visitor, my apologies I did not notice your arrival! I'm afraid NiGHTS come down with an illness and they need a cure.

Ashley: NiGHTS is sick, how did that happen? I thought Nightmarens were immune to elements like that.

Owl: While they are capable into withstanding most. The rare chance they get sick, it makes them unable to function properly. 

Ashley: And I guess it's like any regular sickness, almost like a cold or the flu?

Owl: On the surface it does, however should it remain the results would become far more dangerous. 

Hearing that made the dragon concerned, how bad could this illness for nightmarens get?

Ashley: How dangerous are we talking here?

Owl: The magic within their bodies are meant to be balanced with their emotions. Should anything effect them in an unstable manner, it could lead to terrible things that only those who have witness it. Or have experienced it, , ,they would rather forget on what they became.

Ashley: Oooooooook then. Well what can make a cure for this and where is it found?

Owl: That is what I am having trouble with. It is a special herb that can only be found within secluded areas within nightmare. But I fear that if I leave for too long, i'm not sure how NiGHTS will be when they can't do much. 

This was quite the concern, if NiGHTS was in a state where they can't wait for more then possible few hours. Ashley then came up with an idea that would help.

Ashley: Hey why don't we go check on NiGHTS, and we can figure out a plan.

With that said the dream guide leads her to where NiGHTS was, and it was within his cabin tree house. It was an actual tree on the outside, yet on the inside it was much larger but cozy. They headed up the stairs and into a room that had a night sky theme. It was very fitting for the purple jester as it gave a calm environment. The purple jester was in the bed, wrapped in a blanket, their skin looked pale but had a burning color on their cheeks. NiGHTS notices them and smiles weakly.

NiGHTS: Hey  Ashley -cough cough- it's nice to see you. 

Ashley: Wow when Owl said you were sick, I didn't think you looked this bad!

NiGHTS: Yeah it's bad that I had to catch this stupid illness. 

Ashley: Uhh i'm not gonna get sick from this will I?

NiGHTS: No it's a dream world thing, this isn't like those kind of elements from your world. Or any waking world.

Ashley: Ok just making sure, but how bad is it?

NiGHTS: Like your average sickness. I'm stuffed up in the head and it feels like my head might split open. It fell on the floor just recently too! Had to put my collar on just so that it wouldn't.

Owl: As you can see, this is an early stage. While it isn't too serious now, it will only grow if unattended. 

Ashley: Yeesh this makes those with fever headaches less painful. 

Owl: Anyways you said you had an idea?

Ashley: Well it depends if you both are ok with this.

They were looking at her, and she takes a breath, before saying what she had in mind.

Ashley: You need someone to go with you to nightmare in order to get this cure right? Yet someone needs to stay and look after NiGHTS. . .I was thinking, why not ask Reala.

Owl: Are you crazy?! Why suggest him?!

Ashley: Ok just hear me out ok?! I know how your past experience with him went, but I know he isn't as bad like before. He's a changed maren, and will see if I can try to get him to help.

Owl: Oh dear, NiGHTS please don't tell me you're ok with this suggestion.

NiGHTS: -Coughs- Actually that isn't a bad idea. But i'm not sure if Reala's on break or not. I trust your idea Ashley.
